[glow=red,2,300]DREAM 53[/glow] DREAM 53 is 1953 Ford F100 pickup truck that has been built in the “Deal’s Wheels” Style. This truck started as an AMT 1953 Ford Flipnose and an original 1971 set of Deal’s Wheels VW Van wheels & tires. The Driver was made with Sculpy & painted with acrylics. Here how I modified the body… Reduced the width of the cab, reduced the width of the front flipnose, shortened the cab & cut off the pickup bed ends to meet the fenders. Part of the hood was removed & the cab was moved forward. Next the front fenders were shortened & the rear fenders were made wider. The width of the grill was reduced to fit the narrow front end. I removed the molded in head lights, so I could fit in some new clear head lights. Most of the chassis parts are 16th scale. The AMT 16th Scale Cobra supplied the Tailpipes, Shocks, Oil Pan & Transmission Bump. 16th Scale '34 Ford supplied the Rear End. Traction Bars are from the parts box. I used aluminum tubing for the ends of the exhaust pipes. I got the Smoke Base from my "Fred Flypogger as SUPER FUZZ" kit! I painted the '53 Ford F100 with Tamiya's Camel Yellow and used Satin Black for contrast. The pickup bed is covered with wood grain decals & silver strips. The Frenched Taillights are "Custom Styling Studio" parts from the Model Museum. These are "resin taillight housings with machined acrylic bullet taillights". I made the license plate from the "ACME License Maker" website. The End....?

[glow=red,2,300]"Spoiled Sport"[/glow] 1970 Chevelle Phony Car Shirley "Ta-Ta's" Yerqiddingme was a spoiled little girl who had a couple major things in her favor... She used them to get her way whenever and however possible. When she wanted to race Phony Cars, she went to her favorite benifactor and sometimes husband, Randal "the Vandal" Calcutta and asked him to 'fix her up'... After a hot weekend of negotiations, he got her a state of the art, full blown, hemi powered, tube chassis, fiberglass bodied Chevy Spoiled Sport. Perfect for a spoiled little girl. Only one problem... Those same assets that got her the car, kept her from getting in!

Well, it's been 2 years since I put together my last model (King Chopper), but have been so, so busy.....plus I have a grandson now to dote on. But over three years ago, Tim Nolan sent me a Deals Wheels that I never put together. So today (well, yesterday) I started at 2PM putting it together--and, yes, I know it shows--so here is the finished product. I gave him gray-white hair as a tribute to you guys, since most of you are baby boomers! Nothing fancy like y'alls, but an entry none-the-less. Thanks for the model, Tim! By the way, don't think of the driver as being pink, he just has a b*tchin' sunburn!

OK ,heres my nearly box stock entry. The only mods were the addition of the two "rocket" hood ornaments , which were cut and filed down from a stock 1/24 kit. The rear tires are original "bunny" tires. The side trim is BMF, the paint is John Deere yellow , left over rattle can from my lawn tractor repair .Nothing fancy, but it looks good next to my Gomad Nomad !

"and now for something completely different" - an unfinished build ! Actually I wasn't planning on entering this one,I started this late ; I got inspired by seeing what you guys were coming up with , and after Ira gave me a few tips I started cutting. It started as a 50 Ford gluebomb from the junkpile , I was planning on making it into a '49 semi custom. Its pretty rough right now, and I'm still open to any suggestions ;if I get some free time I hope to finish it soon.

I wish I had found this truck sooner, and to be quite honest, I don't have a clue as to how the contests are run on this site. If this post is inappropriate, I hope a mod will delete it. Anyway,,,,,,,,,,,,, another unfinished, or should I say, just a mock-up of what might be. I just got this in the mail about 4 hours ago and spent maybe an hour on it so far. It's an old White COE in 1/43 scale. I believe it was a Revell kit The ebay pic.

Here it is... The wiener! er, winner? Ok, so it's just another entry. I modified the fender flares and front spoiler, I tucked the tires in, lowered it, added Pegasus 20" wheels to the rear and resin wheels to the front shot with Alclad, and modified the driver. The paint is pearl silver with a couple of drops of blue pearl and a little pearl blue powder over a white base. Here you go!

I'll throw another in for fun. The '57 Chevy Gasser Zinger! I lowered the front, used resin wheels shot with Alclad for the rear, I whitewalled the slicks, I used the motor from the Zinger! van and plumbed the fuel injection, I built a custom tube grille, added solder headers to the motor, Painted it candy apple red over a gold base with a white base on the roof and a black base on the body, to add some character I primered the front fenders. Here you go:

I finally finished one for a comp. I used the Mothers Worry motor, used modellers clay for the side exhaust and also to extend the arm for the peace sign. I also raised the rear wheels.

My 'DW / Zinger' entry... For your viewing pleasure I bring you : Hot Rod Dave's "Unofficial Pace Car" .. A kitbashed "Va-Va-Vette" kit transformed into a ridiculously hard hitting-overpowered-frame twisting machine that fears nothing ..
