Thanks for the heads up! Are they going to ever re-issue? I heard here that they stoppped popping Deal's Wheels. True? We just got started! I know they sold like hotcakes at all the LHS around here. There is a demand!

When Dave was still with us he told me that his contact in Revell had told him that all the models were going to be reissued with the exception of the Bug Bomb. That one was tied up in licensing issues with VW, but they were trying to get it resolved to reissue that one as well. They had clearance from GM to reissue the Stink Ray although GM stipulated that they needed to change the name. Dave told me the new name, but I've forgotten now what it was. This was back in late 2008 and Lucky Pierre was supposed to be the next one reissued- in early 2009. Dave passed away and Revell pulled the plug on the reissues although I don't think the two were related. I've spoken with Dave's son (Travis) and he doesn't know why the reissues were stopped, he was surprised to hear it. It seemed the demand for them was strong, so it's a mystery. |

Is there some way we could find out from Revell what happened? I must say though, the only ones I still see on shelves at my LHS was the VW Van and the Tired Bird. All the rest have been gone forever. That should prove to them that there is a market for most if not all of them!
I may throw my Red Baron plane up on the 'Bay and see what I get. Once again, hard to find. Hehehe! Maybe I'll send it to a caster friend of mine and have a few popped for posterity.

Yup! And now I have two. But can always sell one for money. Hey, I'd rather eat than play with plastic. Okay, I guess I can eat plastic as well. LOL!!
