Great job! I like the paint color which definitely works on this. I built one last year, and painted it burgundy metallic and it just doesn't look right. If I do this one over, I will be going with your color!

Just for fun. . . our tree. « Result #7 Today at 9:26am »
I know this is not a normal tree. . . . but it is fun for us and it is small and we kept it up all year (and just decorated it at the holiday!) These were taken just before the kids got up. . .and Santa just delivered! It was fun to see the kids. . .they were so excited.
Doesn't everyone have a huge AMINAL on their tree?
To the man caves. . .and let the glue flow. . . and show us the progress images. . . ..

Re: Inside the Circus (Dragon) Wagon - CONTENTS PI « Result #21 Today at 8:16am »
Technically, if the shifter is from the Hangman then it isn't the Dragon Wagon's shifter because it was to represent a tiger's tail. Original issue of the kit was 1969 I believe.
I for one am really happy this kit came back, it is my favorite of the TD designs and my earliest memory of one of his kits. That very kit is most likely still in my cousin's attic with all his other toys.
One correction I have to make, and then a couple of answers:
3) The stick shift is different, but slightly ... the new one has what looks to be a tin can at the end of it, while the original was smooth. I suppose you could file the 'tin can' down if you want to match the original.
The stick shift is from the Hangman - supposed to resemble the hang man's pull lever I believe.Never had this way back when.Thank's again Dave for making this happen - I know you weren't done right by Revelle - but you sure made alot of us very happy Keith

Plans? Plans? Fred ain't got no steenkin' plans! He just sits around lookin' fer stuff to do! Besides, now that he's a year older we can take advantage of him! Ha! Ellis
When was the last time this was available? the 60's?
1970 Dave .. Turk is flying around in his home made time machine and got his dates mixed up....
Give me a break, I said "40ish" years ago... I do remember building it in my parents basement of our old house, and we moved out of there IN 1970... Didn't it first come out in 68 or 69?
And I built the Time Machine from plans in the back of a Popular Mechanics or Popular Science or maybe a comic book...

My best 2009 rags to riches story « Result #47 Yesterday at 8:28pm »
This was the most rewarding "rags to riches" build for me in 2009 .... A big thank you goes out to all of you klowns for keeping a flame under my rear to transpose this old glue bomb into a true gem .. A special thanks once again goes out to the wildman in Kennewick Wa. "Ratrod" for coming to the rescue on the paint work .. A far cry from it's original eBay auction condition....

One correction I have to make, and then a couple of answers:
1) The dash gauges decal WAS on the original, and not something new that Revell added to this release. I looked at my original decal sheet again and saw it ... how I missed it, dunno.
2) Yep, the new dragon does have more pieces -- the original dragon was just two halves glued together, while the new version has separate legs.
3) The stick shift is different, but slightly ... the new one has what looks to be a tin can at the end of it, while the original was smooth. I suppose you could file the 'tin can' down if you want to match the original.

Is the Dragon SIX * parts now? Seems it was just two before, but it's been some 40ish years since I last saw one up close... Got one on order now and can't wait!
*Yes it said four earlier... Poor math on my part. Corrected so's I don't look too stupit.

Yup.....I got it on the car prior to shipping it out. As far as I know it is still with the current owner.......If I am not mistaken, I believe this same individual has also purchased several of my other builds including the INSANI-"T", LIL' HANGMAN, to name a few. Thanks for the comments!
