Awesome!!! I LOVE the Faster Buck!! I had had the same idea abou putting the S'Cool Bus chassis under one, but I was thinking of shortening the chassis (one engine) rather than stretching the body. Did you have to widen or narrow the track to get the tires to fit the fenders that well or is it just out of the box? If nothing else, I've GOT to use those S'Cool Bus wheels and tires on a Fast Buck. They look great!

I did have to narrow the chassis about a quarter of an inch on the sides. I capped the edges with styrene strips. To get the rear wheels to fit I shaved the hubs of the wheel backs on the rear wheels, but nothing major. I also shaved a little off of the wheel tubs. The front wheels fit with no problem. I did have to shorten the rear of the frame and extend the front to move the front axle forward. The drag link had to be extended as well, and the roll cage needed to be modified.

Cool! Thanks! BTW, what blue paint did you use on that? I did have to narrow the chassis about a quarter of an inch on the sides. I capped the edges with styrene strips. To get the rear wheels to fit I shaved the hubs of the wheel backs on the rear wheels, but nothing major. I also shaved a little off of the wheel tubs. The front wheels fit with no problem. I'm a can man... it was Forever Blue in the Krylon Short Cuts found at the hardware store. Neat paint. Not too glossy or thin and its an enamel.

Love both of 'em, Brandon. Almost expected you to run a snorkel from the injector scoop to that forward turret, though.

Thanks guys... Love both of 'em, Brandon. Almost expected you to run a snorkel from the injector scoop to that forward turret, though. You know, I thought a lot about it, or turning the turrets into scoops by cutting holes in them, or cutting a scoop hole into the windshield but the bug catcher is up at the top... I think it would have been too clunky.. I wanted to keep it clean and simple. As it is, there is no way to see around the engine... LOL.

So that's what you did with that S'Cool Bus chassis! Very nice; I like the twin turrets!
What did you finally do about rivets?

So that's what you did with that S'Cool Bus chassis! Very nice; I like the twin turrets! What did you finally do about rivets? Yes, thanks very much. I like it when I can finish a project that I've sourced parts for, so they can have a good home as a completed piece. I creatively selected which rivets to leave, and which to sand off. I think I found the right balance.... I have to get the decals on. (Thanks Dave!) I'm looking forward to hopefully getting a little bench time in this weekend. I'm fired up about my new Rommel's Rod and did some sanding on the Cris Craft gasser thing... hope to make some progress.
