I am trying to replicate some headlight lenses for the Deals Wheels collection .. many of the builders found on eBay are missing the clear portion of the headlights or are heavily glued and need to be replaced when doing a restoration .. I would like to know if anyone has a certain brand of clear resin that would work for this project

Hello Everyone:
a lot of neat tips,
I remember myself being el cheapo and bending a paperclip and making a paint stirrer for the dremel, it works great without paying $12 for the pre-made one

I would like to know if anyone has a certain brand of clear resin that would work for this projectI use clear resins from Smooth-On. Alumilite also sells clear resins, but I haven't tried them yet. I use Crystal Clear 202: www.smooth-on.com/Urethane-Plastic-a/c5_1120_1156/index.htmlI get the "trial size". It is not available for online ordering, but if you find a local Smooth-On distributor, you can ask for it. WARNING: Urethane resins absorb moisture very easily. Clear is especially susceptible. If the resin absorbed water, it will develop tiny bubbles as it cures. Keep it dry or pressure-cast your parts.

A big thanks for all the response ... I recently picked up some fresh Alumilite Clear Water Resin and plan on giving it a try when things slow down for me ...
