I'm working on two of these super rare resin kits of the animated movie character "Necron 99" assasin from the mid-70's animated film "Wizards". A strange film, but not for it's time. Pretty cool animation, and you can view it on youtube if you don't remember it! I sculptged one of these beasts in ceramic clay and fired it in my senior year of high school. My first wife killed it somewhere in the mid 80's....I wish I still had it, even a decent photo of it! One of these is for high school chum and professional model builder Simon Merc's of "The Kit Factory". (www.thekitfactory.com) The other was payment from him to me for the build, as he gave them to me! Worked out good for us both! Looking forward to getting after them with the airbrush! These are preliminary fit shots. Since this, I have spent 3 hrs. cleaning one of them up and adding all of the bit pieces to it. Resin kits are great, but lot's of tiny mold lines and bits of junk to remove. This is a really nicely done garage kit, and I want them to look great, so the extra effort in cleanup is worth it!

I drag that DVD out about once a year. I don't really do resin kits, but this one and Cheech are two I'd like to have on my shelf. I'm totally looking forward to your take on it!
Peace!

Man Tim, that was a flash back! I vaguely remember that movie but I was a big fan of those 70's animated flicks. My brother and I always loved watching Heavy Metal but there were several others that stand out. American Pop was one but that didn't really have much going on. Rock & Rule was another. There was something like Galaxy Train or something like that. I used to look for the Heavy Metal resin kits but they've become scarce too.

Great things, Timbo! Man, you are really a freak! ;D But you're not alone... ;D I'll give you a few suggestions... The original version (book). The movie poster. The DVD cover. Something like this could look like, a more real version of it. Here is a finished model of it. I wanted to show you the colors, but I am convinced that you do with your skills, anyway Something very nice of it. Please, keep us informed. PS: Why your version has hair on his back end? I mean this, ponytail?

Wizards at the midnight movies in SoCal when in HS, what a trip!
One of the coolest looking characters ever, I never knew there were resins of these. They look spot-on, great for you!
