I had a nice set of bullet taillights I'd found in the parts box, and then I dropped one through a tiny black hole in my basement floor. I couldn't find the hole, so I guess it didn't last long, but it was there long enough for the tiny part to vanish from this Earth. So, because I really liked the look of the bullets, I made a set. I sharpened a piece of clear red sprew (the Street Fighter offered a nice big, long piece!) in a pencil sharpener, then dulled the end some, sanded it smooth with 400 wet'r'dry, pollished it out and there you have them. Used some silver sprew to make the bases and some round stock for an arm. Next up: color...

Lots of progress, getting close to the finish line now, but the camera battery crapped out after a few shots, and who knows where the wife put the charger... So, here are the two that came out worth a hoot for now. Rear shot, in color, with taillights and Supertraps complete. Here's a mostly scratch made marine style battery box, and the pink robot pig looking thing will be a nitrous bottle. That's all till the camera is charged!

More minor progress shots... Rear view mirrors, wiring harness, finished nitrous tank and a fire extinguisher... Gotta have one of those. Bare metaled the air cleaner lids after removing the cast in wingnuts and replacing them with simple button heads... Battery box painted and installed. Not much left to do now... Stay tuned for, "FrankenBug!"

More final assembly shots... Fuel system, including pump and filter. Remote oil filter with lines. Engine loose... Nitrous tank in place with line. Wiring harness being located. Shifter now has a "phone wire" for the little red nitrous button... More spaggettified mess coming together... Still need to make the throttle linkage and a few other minor whatnotties....

The air vents on the hood goofed me up by holding too much paint in a couple of them. Making some spiked lemonaide from my lemons, I came up with this nifty little scoop that covers most of the boo boos but still letting the vents peak out from underneath... The interior is almost done, still a little detail paint for the streering wheel... Using the graph paper for my building base helps keep thing nice and square, especialy in a kit-bash like this one. That includes gluing up the wheels. I use a couple full glass Testors bottles for glue up, gets the wheels nice and upright, and using the lines on the graph, 'aligned' proper too! Darn near done monkeying with this thing! The front end is still loose and needs it's shocks. And I have the Supertrap centers and outside mirrors to attach. Finish off the roof and detail paint the framing it has, but that's about it, unless I think of something else... Thanks for following along on this twenty plus year long project!
