While the C'naardvark takes a dip in the purple pond (I told you, Ira ), I figured I'd share another cartoonish I'm working on. Far from the finished product, hopefully future embellishments will give it more of the character I'm going for: That's a Snap version 1934 Ford coupe with the roof removed and the body shortened. I normally shorten the cowl as well, but not on this one. Those rear Deal's Wheels meats have had two sets of treads removed. Considered putting some real skinny's up front, but I think the kit's original front end lends a nice balance to the back set. PVC sheet interior and cut down seat back. Pipe is from the Funfdecker. Still working through it mentally. You may not see much more of this until I get closer to the finish ;D

A Digger kit. The body has been narrowed a bunch. The engine has been cut in half and re assembled as a straight eight. I built some massive blowers to keep the toon theme going.

Looked like Great Paint...

[glow=red,2,300]Great Start!!![/glow] At first glance I thought it was on old English sports car like an MG or something, I like it! ;D What happened to the C'naardvark? Looked like Great Paint... Needed to do some repaint/patchwork on the undercarriage (these wheelie-poppers can't be curbside ). Taping off the topside left a ton of lift marks in the clear coat, so I decided to re-do it. I'll keep the same paint theme, I'll just plan better!

Added some pulleys and an alternator along with the start on the exhaust. Lining up those eight pipes doesn't look like it's going to be fun. I also added the top to the body. No, that is not a rollcage you see. With that said, you have a hint as to the direction of this build.

Davey's bike gets the slightest of makeovers. First some new forks and let's see how a wide back tire looks. I think the frame could be better. Time for some new wheels. The front uses the kit tire, the rear is completely from scratch. How does the body figure fit? Pretty good. I added a primary, trans, sprockets, chain, oil tank and made a pair of pipes using the kit exhaust. I started reworking the tank too. I made a piston for the suicide shifter. I also added the intakes that come through the tank. The scoops are from a T'rantula . I added hand controls to the stock handlebars. The headlight is stock also. I still have to make the disc brakes before it goes off to the body shop. .

Digger, or is it Davey? Whoever he is, he's getting made over too. The arms and both hands have been modified to change their pose and positions to hold the handlebars and shifter. I cut him at the knees to give him a sitting pose, and gave him some boots. I think I've been to a few too many Judas Priest shows. There are 39 studs added to the figure. This means I made over 50, I'm sure the carpet monster ate at least fifteen of those suckers. Damn you Rob Halford! Every part of his body has been cut and massaged to get the pose to fit the bike.

The intake side of the motor was very bland looking. As the engine is the focal point of this build, it needed some attention. I added a fuel pump, distributor and some plumbing to keep fresh cool oil to those overworked superchargers. (hey, it's a cartoon build, I can have oil injected blowers if I want!) I want to see about adding fins to the head and block as this will be air-cooled.

[glow=red,2,300]IT'S GOT A HEMI!!![/glow] I was sold on the 25th scale FORD 409 Engine, untill I saw the BIG HEMI... I found a 20th scale HEMI Engine in the Little Red Zinger Kit. The Double Superchargers were too tall for the Ranchero, so I looked for something else. I found a BIG Supercharger in the Groovy Grader Kit. The Scoop from the WILLY WILD will be just what I wanted, after I do a few modifications... [glow=red,2,300]Here is a quick mock up![/glow]
