I'm in the process of building the Hooters Underbird I have sprayed the body in the MCW Hooters colors they came out nice. I used a clear coat on the body I think it was Testors brand the white part of the body has yellowed. Is there a way to rub the paint out to get rid of the yellowing Thanks,Richard

Thanks for the response figured that's what I would have to do, I think I'm going to leave it as is it's not a contest car and NASCARS are covered in decals anyway. I'll certainly be sure not to use Testor's clear coat anymore

You could try some modelers wax . I use it to polish my models after the paint cures .It always takes a thin coat of paint off and the cars really shine afterwards. While it wont take the clearcoat off, it may remove enough of it to take the yellow out.

That sounds like plan I was thinking about that before I posted my thread. Is there a particular brand wax you've used?

I use a product called "the treatment" It used to be available in small amounts at my local hobby store, but when they stopped carrying it, I called the company. They use the same product for boats and planes, etc. ,and sold me a large tube which has lasted me more than 10 years. It really shines up the paint and it doesnt yellow.I have used it on all my builds.

Don's right about polishing it out . I had a couple of builds that had yellowed really bad and I used SemiChrome polish on them , it removed the yellow and now the whites are white again ! I bet any good metal or plastic polish will do the same thing .

How did this turn out? I'm a huge Kulwicki fan, and would love to see your build!
