I never thought I'd see the day that I couldn't buy a model kit from anywhere in the world.. I've spotted a kit in Germany.. they ONLY sell and ship in Germany .. Is there any type of embargo against the U.S. going on right now? I'd sure like to score one the kit but they will not ship to the good ole USA.. will I have to pass or is there anyone here that can come to my rescue ? Looking for the Satte Liter Schüssel / Werner Cycle.....

Welcome to the "new world" LOL!!! You seem to have met the same problem as many of us in Europe come across when trying to buys stuff from americans on Ebay. VERY often the auctions says "US ONLY". Haven't heard of any embargo against Europe and neither have I heard about any embargo Against The US. Guess it's only because of "lasyness" from the sellers....

Starry,
I'm off work tomorrow. Let me look around at the hobby store in Boeblingen. If they have one in stock, I'll let you know.
Cheers, Bill

More than likely they just don't want to bother with the cost and paper work. No USA hater.....just dislike of all the paper work and hassle. Some kits can't be sold by the manufacture in the USA.....Revell of Germany Star TRek kits.......but they are brought in and sold by others......or even shipped by hobby shops in Germany. RoG can't ship a container full here.

OK, I guess you are entitle to carry that opinion, But there are other reasons! I'll sell to forum members anywhere in the world, But only in the US on E-Bay. Poor, or No international tracking, And E-Bay policies tuned me off to international. I sell a $10 kit, and it costs $25 to send it to BFE. Tracking is good to the US border, then nothing. ten days later the buyer files a claim, (I never got my item.) Because I can't track it to his door, They give him a full refund. I'm out $35 and a kit! One bad apple sticking his fingers in my wallet does spoil the whole bunch! USPS tracking is door to door. If that ever changes, I'll quit E-Baying all together.

Sorry Pal, You missed my point. It's not that all Americans are honest, It's that start to finish tracking proves that this American is honest!

I use the Ebay international shipping program and haven't had a problem You ship to the center in Kentucky and Ebay takes over and ships to the buyers country does all the paper work and I have tracking to prove it made it to the shipping center Ask the seller if they have a similar program in Germany I have seen it listed in UK ads so they do have it in other countries

I got shafted once, and have no desire to try it again. I'm glad it works for you, but it's not for me.

Starry, I've searched a a few hobby stores in the area, nobody has Werner in stock! If it would suite your needs, I would part with a dusty project that is taking up space: I was working on a V-twin version and lost momentum. Two kits were cannibalized for this. It uses a big Lego wheel out back, extended forks in the front, and well, that's about the time it went back in the box. I couldn't figure out how to tie the frame back together. Shoot me an email if this would work for you. Cheers, Bill

Try living in Australia and buying stuff from anywhere in the U.S. the majority of sellers , sell at a reasonable price but the shipping is astronomical. Sometimes 10 times the cost it would cost me to post the same distance back again. Honestly they must think we live in another solar system. But bargains can be had sometimes.
Like my wife kat buying direct from Keith Weesner for his hotrod fantasy T-shirts, that guy is prompt and cheap as chips. Talk about art that inspires you to build a show rod.
