I got a dumb question was it a known fact that someone at MPC had a thing for the Chevy Corvair engine or something? As thats not the only "Show Rod" I've seen with the rear mounted Corvair engine in it!

Yippee. I didn't buy any off eBay. I saved on this and the Flying wedge. Now I'm just waiting for a Maverick reissue.

I got a dumb question was it a known fact that someone at MPC had a thing for the Chevy Corvair engine or something? As thats not the only "Show Rod" I've seen with the rear mounted Corvair engine in it! Small power pack,light weight, 1966 and up, had a 10 bolt ring and pinions, positraction and T-10 gears in the 4 speed. Eliminated radiators and such, easy to pull 200 h.p. and kind of cutting edge at the time. Lots of chrome and aluminum dress up goodies and last popular with the dune buggy crowd. Paul |
