I had a couple of these rare East German kits laying around and decided to put my 1960 Plymouth Hearse on hold and do a Hanomag Show-rod... This is what I started with: And here's how I want the result to look like: I've dubbed it "Gassin' C-C-Claudius" as it'll have an "overgrown" roman soldiers head stickin' thru the roof...

That Hanomag was designed by Dr. Ferdinand Porsche.Metal body on wooden frame, one door, one cylinder rear engine, and chain drive.VW forerunner. I wouldn't mind getting one of those. What's the basic kitlike?

Sorry, still not done....but, IN PROGRESS! I'v e been collectiong parts for the build and finally found almost every little detail I've been after. Still missing some nice tubes to make the wild slicks. I have re-concidered the build a little and in stead of the lowered front it'll have a raised straight axle in gasser-style! This one is a competition-build on a swedish model-forum and the deadline is set to september 2007.

Like it! ! ! THE head is great and you can always change the head with a saw. . . and putty!
And paint. . . . Very cool idea!

I guess I could make Taps and holes and keep the head loose to make a swap easy! Hmmmm, I'll think about that.

Just a quick update.
This one's coming together, not very fast...but it will be done in time for the deadline, sept 30.
This evening I've done some detailing and painting on the chassie and the "driver". Also, I've repainted the body and will have to put another coat or two on tomorrow before the clearcoat.
New pic's will follow in 2-3 days, stay tuned!
