and how old is it?
Funny as I dig through my stash the things that are in-progress or in the "one day" stack.
I wiped the slate clean and unfortunately do not have any models from my childhood. I remember giving boxes of built ups and junkers to a neighbor kid... as people did to me when I was young.
But when I got back into modeling, maybe 10-15 years ago, I started collecting parts to build my dream '57 Chevy gasser with a Hemi and Cragar mags. It sits as a collected pile of sprues and parts... I've never even assembled the block halves.
Funny how time flies...
What is YOUR oldest stalled project?

My oldest project is about 2 years old is all. It has been built actually and fell apart and needs rebuilding again. otherwise, I have been in and out of different scales and styles. When I change pace, I tend to need money to buy new wanted kits, so I sell off the old. Jody

My oldest I can currently remember would be a Revell '57 Nomad in that yellow plastic that I shaved the trim, painted pink and painted graphics on the side to replicate the shape of the side trim. The chrome parts were trimmed with candy green. That should date the project...
Oh, and yes, this is scheduled for the oven cleaner bath...

Mine is a Beer wagon that I was converting to a Coca cola delivery truck , I started to make the racks for the soda cases. I wanted to put a Jag rear in it, but I never found anything that looked "right" . Its been about four years now !

If its any type of model, I have some old Aurora monster kits that I found at a Value Village ... they didn't know what to do with them, threw them all in a box and asked $5 for the entire lot. And this was before the Monogram and Polar Lights reissues (and included the Wolfman Wagon). They've been moved around a lot, always pushed to the side, but currently working on restoring them ... My Hyde is currently taking a bath to get rid of the poorly done paint job. I picked these up around 20 years ago!
Car wise? Probably the Beer Wagon, which was started and then put away, about 3 1/2 years ago. A Carl Casper / MPC Paddy Wagon glue-bomb restoration was started about 3 years ago, still sitting there for me to spend more time on it.

I started a Red Baron kitbash some 3 years ago and I recently found it looking for something else. I lost interest in it probably because it was not evolving smoothly. Now that I look at it I may try another idea.....thanks for starting this thread....... Dave

Mine is the Roth 56 Ford Pickup. I really wanted the doors and hood to work so after a bit of tweaking I tried a bit of heat and warped it even more. Got it back to straight again and filled the worst bits then put it back in the box. Been that way for over 5 years now. Might have to drag it out again.

Building my King Chopper project stalled due to work. But tonight I finally painted the seat section and the frame. I am very happy 'cause I really had to work at it to make it "seamless", and also because the purple metal flake shines like a champion! Now if I can just keep from stalling again.......

I've posted these here before, but what the hey. From start to current state, this is the oldest. 32 years. I did the original channeling in 1977, slapped on some white putty, and threw it in the parts box until 1990 when I added the front hood and side skirts and made the chassis and engine. It got pictured in Street Rodder and then I went on to other projects. I'll finish it some day. I do really like it. Here is a link to the rest of them. thanks! I painted it once and when I stripped it, the body work came out. I spent so much time smoothing it that I was not looking forward to doing it all over again lol I might have to just do another body , because I did so much shaping and sanding on that one....the body was getting pretty thin. ;D

WOW.. You guys need to finish these Kool projects. I have to many to list but here's one that I've had for years. My Vanbulance.. I wanted to call it Bad Medicine or a few other catchy names. Couldn't decide which blue sirens to use. Orange on the `70's rims, Clear Blue air scoop, Some gadgets on the rear bench, Skeleton under glass,Skeleton on a gurney.. But the hold up is................... I failed at making a rear door hinge.. Lost interest in it pulled it out for the cobweb but put it back. You never know..... BiLL..

My oldest and longest time to complete was the Lil' Cheater. I started it in 1970 and finished it in 2001, over 30 years!!! The Lil' Cheater is a combination of parts from the Meter Cheater & the Lil' Mixer. Here is a link to the webpage for more photos & details: www.sonic.net/~joymkrs/Dahm/ALILCHEAT.html

Thanks guys. This one is # 2 on the list to get done. I have a weird 40 Ford to finish first. It's only 15 years old.
Hey Chief, The engine is a revell 70s funny car block with dual distributors added. The intake is headers going in to a scratched collection box. All that is fed by two blowers from the same revell kits. The blower manifolds are modified valve covers. The injector hats are at the bottom to pick up the air form the high pressure in the front fenderwells. The idea was to have all the aerodynamics underneath the body so the lines would stay clean.
Cool projects rodburner, Mad. Ira, you will be our inspiration!
Flounder.

Hey Al,
Amazingly there is no little Coffin in it. It is the revell Cherry Pie delivery with doors and stretched nose from the orange crate and a bunch of styrene added in. I am pretty partial to the body as it is. Except I keep thinking I would put a red window in the roof so the driver can see!
Lets see more dust drivers!

I remember a girl band who had a similar designed car, except the blower was a conventional design.
Cannot remember where I saw it. But will search for an image on the net.
