Well done on the printer, pity it messed up after you had just finished. Is the printer still workable?

Update 27.03.2024. Bungalow purchase all over! The lady we wanted to buy from couldn't/wouldn't decide what her future house should be/look like and pulled her sale to us. The five others in the chain below us are hanging on. Our buyer 'Devastated' that we had nowhere to go, definitely not renting, don't want to pay £1000+ per month out of our possible house sale funds!

Whilst in the throes of packing for our soon to be house move, I found in an old ice cream tub an Airfix 1/32 Ford Escort in a plastic bag, In basic grey plastic. So to break up the packing schedule I decided over a couple of days to build it. I had printed out the instructions of a previous build some years ago. In the days of my race/airfield marshalling at the Silverstone Racing Circuit some 5 miles away, about 40 years ago there was a saloon car class designated 'Super Saloons'. This was using a base saloon shell on a spaceframe chassis with whatever V8 engine/gearbox you could fit. I found alongside this kit a modified Escort MK1 shell duly modified with plasticard by me some 30+ years ago! I am now looking for a 1/32 kit of an F! car for the wheels and suspension to fit a scratch chassis! I therefore look forward to my move, building another garden cabin and continuing model making, having started when I was 8 years old and 76 next month!

Cheers Bob! I've started trying to bubble wrap all of the models out of my display cabinets! What a job! Why to tyres stick to the plexiglass shelves and bits drop off? Well I must just get on with it as my late RAF Sergeant father used to say!

Thanks stevielewis. Starting to pack stuff away, moving house from 4 bed split level detached to 2 bed semi-detached bungalow! The two of us don't need the high cost of 4 bedroom energy. They say possibly March, but actually when no one knows! When we married 56 years ago (and first bought a house 12 years later) it took 28 days to buy and move, now it's 3 months or more! That's technology for you and WFH!

Nearly done, not my best build but just the front wheels and two exhausts to put on, I had to put plasticard blanks in the wheel arches to stick on the front wheels.

Yes Stevie, that's what I'm highlighting work for today. Already rubbed down, with grey undercoat last night and a matt white just gone on this afternoon. Tomorrow check it over and add either more matt or a new coat of yellow gloss.

From my previous pictures on the Del Aire, I've sliced the thick resin base so that the tyre smoke is now on the ground! A few hours carefully slicing with a new hacksaw blade without a handle.. This then shows up the tyre smoke.. With the body and hood scoop and a bit of filler here and there...
