Hi guys! Remember me? I have experienced some major life situations and have not done much with my hobbies, especially building. BUT that hasn't stopped me from buying! I just received this MPC Manta Ray 1/24 RTR slot car in the mail. It has been one of my grails for years. This one is in VG condition. Missing 2 wheel inserts, a small blob of something on it, and what appears to be overspray. For the time being I am just going to admire it until I can get my hobby room set up and spend some time on it. Time to check out the boards and see what I have been missing. Marty

Why yes, yes I do still race slot cars! I started with Aurora T-Jet (still my favorite to race) and had 1/32 and 1/24. My 1/32 and 1/24 were sold by my parents. I have since replaced and added ;-) Here is my HO Aurora Tub Track My "door" track And my 1/32 1/24 folding portable Quickstart track And one of my favorite slot cars you guys can relate to, Revell Mr Rat Fink in a Lotus Ford Marty

I have not been here for a long time. Hobbies have been put in the background. BUT, I won an auction on ebay that I bid on only to get one car. Only one small defect Anyone know the wheelbase of the real car so I can get an idea of the scale size? Marty

I have been looking for this since I found out it existed. I don't know how I missed these as a kid! I have only seen two on that internet auction site. I got way outbid both times. This one was listed at BIN. More then I wanted to pay but less then 1/2 of the others I saw go for. Eldon Dodge Deora HO Model Kit! They call it a pick up truck. Yes I HAD to open the factory sealed package! WAAAAYY back when these were 2 for $0.66!!!! My plan was to convert it to a slot car, but it will take a lot of modification. More then I thought it would. So my plan now is to learn how to resin cast and modify the copies to mount on a slot car chassis. Marty Marysville, OH Marty & Doc in the morning WQTT 1270 qt1270.com/

That has been one of my favorite cars ever since I saw it on the Beach Boys album cover.
Like other comments here I built a lot of the Aurora 1/32 kits and I still have a few unbuilt. I also dug the Monogram "49ers". $0.49 for model kit!! Ahhh. the good ol' days.
Looks like you are off to a great start!!

If I have an auction on ebay, no, I will not end it early and sell off ebay. I have posted models here and sold them. Marty Marysville, OH I was more being silly than anything else.(note the anyone?) I wouldn't dream of asking you to break the rules or do anything out of character. I see on some other sites that guys "call dibs" to let everyone know they want the kit and would everyone else please not bid. That isn't fair either because it eliminates most fair competition as well as the opportunity for the seller to get a good price. I meant no harm...just at the time I thought I was being funny. Sorry if I upset anyone. I have removed it from my watch list. It didn't upset me. The response to it did. Marty Marysville, OH

While cleaning, I mean moving stuff around in my garage, I found two unmarked boxes. Here is what I found inside: Lindberg Fiat: Luv Buggy fiat: I remember getting both Fiats at the Toledo Toy Show as a package deal. Both have been started and the yellow is missing a couple pieces. 1/16 Dukes of Hazard 1981 issue. Opened but sealed in bag:: 1/16 Charger Street Machine. Opened but sealed in bag: 1/16 Revellution F/C Factory shrink wrap sealed: I had not seen these in years so I assumed I sold them during one of my "purging" sessions. So, is it a good thing or a bad thing I still have these issues since they all have been reissued? Maybe the F/C has not been, it is a "Limited Edition" 1 of 5000. Marty Marysville, OH
