I bought one and that is STILL a weird-ass vehicle. See what it's parked next to in the last pic??
;D ;D ;D

It is a goofy car, but part of our ShowRod history. If it had a good air ride suspension under it, the ride in the tub would be kind of nice, with or without water. ;D ;D ;D

I have a number of color and B&W pics from various sources (including a 1989 Playboy pictorial). If you e-mail me at johnbisci@cox.net, I'd be happy to send them to you. By the way, I have the Playboy pic in two versions: R and G (yellow dots over the naughty parts) -- please specify R or G...

Here's the picture I posted in a similar thread back in February where I Photoshopped some clothing on Becky LeBeau.

dan -- nice job, too much work, I'm still a Photoshop "hack." By the way, look at the overhead shot from the rear (B&W). Never noticed this, but the outer "feet" of those brass tables/steps/whatever on either side of the bathtub do not attach to the chassis/platform the same way they do on the model...

Never noticed this, but the outer "feet" of those brass tables/steps/whatever on either side of the bathtub do not attach to the chassis/platform the same way they do on the model... Thanks for all the photos John! There are lots of differences between the real vehicle and the greatly simplified kit. The kit looks nice until you compare it carefully to the photos of the real thing! Here are some other differences: Radiator shroud's upholstery is incorrect (due to molding limitations). Scroll work on the sides of the dash (table) is totally different. Windshield glass pattern is incorrect. Floor tiles are too large on the model. Headlights don't have ridges molded in the housing and their mounts are simplified. Sloping plate in the front is missing. Model's floor goes under rear axle. Steering wheel is different. Exhaust and intake stacks are very simplified on the model. There are other differences but I don't have the model at hand right now. Some can be explained by limitation pf the plastic molding process while others might be contributed to changes made to the 1:1 vehicle. It would take quite a bit of work to make the model accurate. But the model does have the general "look and feel" of the real Bathtub Buggy.
