Love your builds! I was looking for teh Swine HUnt online and your popped up! I should have known. One question if I may. Can you email me offline as to some measurements? I made a deal with someone for parts and basically, I got just enough to drive me nuts and cause me to create my own parts. Thanks.!

Love you work Luca. The reshaped tires are fantastic. I've had good success casting tires in polyurethane resin with black die added. Looks just like rubber and scuffs up like rubber too but can be drilled and glued much better than rubber. Also if you cast the rim and tire as one using silicon as a mold material, you can squish the mold in the vice and poor a cartoony shaped resin version. Also resin lasts forever. Rubber has limited lifespan. But damn, just looking at your tires again they look so good. Wonderful texture. I might just have to try some rubber.

Thank you. The appreciation is mutual. It seems we have similar obsessions – Ferraris as well as ‘cartoon’ models - I am currently in a Fred Flypogger phase. The 312T is my favorite modern Ferrari F1 and I have built a few - is yours the Tameo kit?
When I ‘rediscovered’ Deal’s Wheels I was disappointed with the tires. They were warped and some would not even fit together, the recent reissues are even worse, so I thought I would make my own. I worked with a friend who rendered the tires in 3D Cad. It took about a year, on and off (mostly off) to finally get them to look the way I wanted. We then printed them out and I was pleased to find that they looked really cute and just as I imagined them. I sent photos to Dave to see what he thought and was surprised when he wrote back and told me that Revell had done a terrible job with the wheels and that he had never intended them to have a concave shoulder – the now signature style of the models. He sent me an image of what they should look like and it was indeed with convex shoulders. I was crestfallen because of all the work that had gone into developing the ‘prototype’. But since I wanted to be faithful to Dave’s vision I made the change. I then made a production tool and ordered 100 sets. They are solid rubber like in the Politoys die cast Deal’s Wheels. I sent a set to Dave and he liked them although he thought they were a bit small. He was going to draw a cartoon of a figure endorsing the tires as the ‘real’ Deal’s Wheels but he never got around to it. I have been using them on all my Deal’s Wheels. I also rendered the High Bloatation tire but have not tooled it, so every time I need a pair I have them printed out, which is expensive. I should learn to make my own mold perhaps? I also had some of the wheels rendered in 3D such as “Deal’s Wheel” which is used in the Bug Bomb and the Baja HumBug – this is his own wheel design which was stolen by der Steiner Rad. I also rendered the Cragar Super Sports wheel for the Z28 and Tirebird.
I tend to build the kits as close to Dave’s artwork as I can and with as much detail as I can muster. Soon I will be able to make my own Deal's Wheel model.

Nice build. Was that sticker done on purpose. SPT.............. Isn't it STP ? Yes it 'should be 'STP, very clever avoids paying the companies huge amounts of money to 'product place' Tradenames on Model Kits.... I guess..... Col.
