Okay, I am about to use some of the new bottles of House of Kolor paint. What I need to know is since I don't have any HOK thinner, what is a good substitute? I am trying out the HOK brand compressor/air brush (more like bottle) on this task.
Thanks and take care!

Read the label on the paint container .. then check with your body shop supply store for compatibility ...

Of course, the bottle says use HOK thinner/reducer. I was hoping someone else used this stuff and another brand of thinner/reducer and save me a step. On a lighter note, I found some Odorless thinner from my wife's painting stuff and it works to clean the brushes so I think it should work with the air brush parts.
Take care,

I have been using NAPA Econo-Body #15240 lacquer thinner for the last ten years (1 Gal.... ;D) I have finally ran out.....oh no!!! This stuff has never let me down, whether I have been thinning nail polish, dupli-color, or HOK (the real stuff from Black Gold) not the Valspar crap that was sold in hobby shops. I am going to try and get more, but if I can't find it, I will try a low temp lacquer thinner, and see how it works. From what I have learned on the net, is that the NAPA stuff is now called Crossfire.

I also used lacquer thinner when I sprayed my house of kolors stuff. Supposedly its an enamel but when I used regular paint thinner, it instantly got hard and wouldnt spray.
