that is sweet, and I agree that chassis is too nice to hide, a funny car flip style would be neat to show off the chassis work, I have had that kit 3 times and I never built it, I have an evil idea brewing thanks to this ^_^ YEa Killer work. . . and this is a head turner! ! ! ! Just Beautiful! ! ! ! God Bless Barten

Don't worry guys, neither the frame nor the engine will be covered. I plan to use the back window from the kit to act as a wall, blocking the cab from the cargo area. I think this would be somewhat believable on a show rod. It's now a single seat cockpit. I also glued the windshield frame to the lower door and am making a dashboard that mounts to the new front "hatch". The two tubes you see are pods for the tach and speedo.

I got my Street Fighter kit and although I don't think it will be easy, I should be able to use the sunroof from it. It's wider than I had hoped, I will have to redo the gullwing side door by cutting the top off of it and attaching it to the roof. If this makes the door to small. I might just do a suicide door. You can see the mark for the sunroof cutout. After seeing the red of the sunroof, I came up with the name for this build,,,,,,,,,,,, Inferno. I'm thinking some real fire for the paint.

Thank you all for the comments. Ira, it's either going to be real fire or a boatload of graphic flames. Dahm's RC bodies by chance? The sunroof fits! I think it looks killer on there.

Thanks guys, nothing keeps you going like being complimented on your work. I scrapped the gullwing side door, there is no room left on the roof for the hinge. This has me so upset, I'm contemplating suicide, yes that's it I'm going to end it all right now,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and hinge that thing. That's not a misalignment on the top front edge, it's a very poor gap that will be fixed.

Boy did I screw up! While fitting the side door to the opening and adjusting the hinge, I broke the bottom of the body off. When I covered up the access opening for the hinge, I forgot to grind out the corner of it and wouldn't let the door sit all the way down. Not realizing this I put a little too much pressure on the body and broke it off. Now the only thing holding this side of the body together is a 1/4 round of 1/4" tubing that is only glued on the ends. This equates to about 1/8" on one end and about3/16" on the other. This is getting scary. I need to fit the door and adjust it without breaking the body any worse than I have. I am very lucky, as once again a problem becomes a very easy fix for something. With the bottom of the body gone, it was very easy to get everything fit and adjusted. I'm sure I'll have to tweak it once the bottom is back on. The good news, the door works pretty good right now,

Don't get discouraged when something breaks. This is going to be killer!Reminds me of a van Deora that Dave Irwin built that is silver with red flames.
