I'm thinking if they were making the show today... this is more like what the car would look like. Kind of a Dub City vibe. I like it and would have thought it sacrilege to mess with the original but this really works. 8-)l

Thanks so much guy's . Several of you mentioned the paint. Most everything I paint now is in urethane, with a urethane primer base. Most of the colors are 2-stage systems, with one or two different clear-coats. The choices for colors are limitless, and the colors in urethane really "POP" becaues there is so much pigment in the paint. Thanks again for your comments - Very much appreciated.

Its well built but I prefer the original style. I'm not a fan of over dia billet wheels.
I'm seriously lost in the 60s.

Its well built but I prefer the original style. I'm not a fan of over dia billet wheels. I'm seriously lost in the 60s. No problem - I get that. . Several guy's in a club I used to belong to were stuck in the 60's too. Good place to be stuck. Maybe you'd like this resin kit better. Not a show rod, but it is from the 50's, so I guess that's close . Thanks to everyone else for their comments too .

Nice oldsmobile its gorgeous. I used to build kits myself until my ex missus's vengence a decade back totaled 100+ one off rod and custom kits I had built and made off with my precious 1/8th?? Lindberg Big tee, 3 in one kit (I think it was cast in red). I managed to save 40 and then a visiting lead sled buddy of mines kid snuck into my garage and trashed them. I'd be lucky if I have 20 left now. But at least I now have the bestest 1/24 scale boneyard anyone could want.
To be honest finding this site is a breath of fresh air, but i'll endeavor some day soon to piece a few back together. I live here in Australia on the east coast but way inland (west), I've been a greaser my whole life and late model cars to me are anything built after 61.
