Use a tiny paint brush! ;D ;D ;D Nice job old bean! I don't care how many times I look at the howler, it just isn't manly. Again very nice work Chuck...Now turn to page 352 in your manly manual and follow along with me. ;D

Again very nice work Chuck...Now turn to page 352 in your manly manual and follow along with me. ;D I've tried a teeny tiny paint brush , paint stick, a needle head, #11 you name it .. I'm still looking for the ultimate tool for painting tire lettering.. note these are smaller letters than the "average" tire ...

use a toothpick but flatten out one of the pointed ends. the wood in a toothpick will hold the paint better than a pin because the wood will absorb it slighlty.

I used all House of Kolor paints from BlackGold..the scroll work around the engine is actually bright gold and the engine block and heads are lavender .. Thanks for all the kind words...

Get a few hairs from one of those dogs running around the house, stick them on a piece of tape. Next, find a jewelrs loop and go to town. Squint a little also!
Remember this guy?

Nice, clean build Chuck!! Your color choices are "just right" for it. Looks like the "fly" approves also! ;D

Never seen one of these built before.Very nice job! I'll admit I was not a big fan of this particular kit(although I do love the Royal Rail and Gypsy Wagon)you did it justice.

I must admit it was tough finding manly colors for this project .. so instead I just went with the flow ... like painting a custom baby carriage ... I think anything less than bright near clash colors would have made it a disaster ... I'm eyeballing my stash of another vintage kit from this series but may save it for the Cobweb Classic and build something else meanwhile .. thanks again for all the comments .. ;D

You did a great job on it Chuck ! I can see why its such a rare kit, as a kid I would never have picked this model to build, but I would today - just to have it ! I was wondering about RC2 as well, they seemed really hot on the showrod kits, promised us a lot, but it looks like its become the same old reissued stock stuff and nascar junk that everyone got sick of years ago.
