[glow=red,2,300]MUD on the BODY![/glow] By the time I got through sanding there weren't too many gaps to fill, so I used a little Squadron Putty on the rough areas. Oh No, more sanding...

As I said, the pointy teeth probably won't last long. I made a template of the mouth opening and drew out the pattern for the teeth. Then using .250x.100 stock I started to make the teeth. I used some thin rod along the top to glue the teeth to. This made them bendable to fit the contour of the mouth opening. The top row ready, I hope it fits once it's bent to shape. It fits perfectly. I narrowed the body 3/4". I made a great tongue for him, but now I can't find it. That's why there is a gap between the teeth on the right side of his mouth. I also added a filler piece from his lower lip to the chin.

Thanks Ira, Do you think the front posts need to be cut down? I do. I would also scribe or cut the roof about 1/8" from the front edge of the hatch to go from the angle of the hatch to a level roof. I think it will go back to looking more like a Vega. I would also cut those vents out of the back side windows. It looks more like a Vega now, but it doesn't look like a hatch, it looks like a coupe. If you shorten the back a bit more you get the hatch look back to it. The trunk are on the hatch was shorter than the coupe.

Hey I've been rippen into this. I just love this type of stuff. Jimmy Flintstones Nitro Bum. A start. Some Derdy Rhats. Some progress. Rats need a lot of finishing still. Ed looks a bit sunburnt with his first dark shade base coat ;D Nitro Bums V2 is a great piece. Long way to go yet. Gotta polish that metal some more. Some auto clear on the red clothing needs fine sanding then repeat this till smooth and buff. Then I'll matt down the skin a bit. Surf Fink. Will keep it pretty simple. And one last one. This Van has been sitting at 90% done for a year now. Need to finish it as I want to do a Ute version but wont till this is done. Needs some grass, dirt, mud and final assembly. Maybe some flies and rodents leap'n outta the way. Thanks Ira, you've made me pull my finger out and have some fun. My eyes really needed a break from that tiny Cobra thats taking so darn long to build but hopefully worth it.

[glow=red,2,300]BEEN HUNTIN!!![/glow] I've been Hunting through many kits looking for the Perfect Engine & Roll Bar for the Ranchero. *FOUND a 429 FORD V-8 in the '70 Mustang kit! BIG FORD Engine with Dual 4-Barrel Carbs on High Rise Manifold. This BIG 429 is going in the pick-up bed, The RANCHERO is Mid-Engined Now!!! *I also found a Great Double Roll Bar in the Bigfoot Kit, but it's too big for Ranchero. I have another Roll Bar that I willl probably use...

Davey stopped by to say hello. Now I understand Ira's obsession with mutilating little plastic people. OFF WITH HIS HEAD!!! What a power trip. After lopping of his head, I narrowed the torso 1/4"at the top, tapering to nothing at the bottom. Now Diggers head fits better.

[glow=red,2,300]MAKING the BED...[/glow] Now that I am Installing a 429 BOSS FORD V-8 in the rear, I need a base for the Engine & Roll Bar. I made the new Pick Up Bed with Sheet Plastic. I also extended the Hood Scoop with a very thin piece of sheet plastic. Added a little more putty...
