[glow=red,2,300]WE GOT MORE FINS!!![/glow] Since this is a flying car, I thought it could use some side wings, or fins! Here is a photo with of the body as it is now... A lot of sanding and shaping was done on the front. The holes in the hood have been filled and primer/filler has been applied. The 2 large Jet Engines have been fit in place now. Back to the body shop...

[glow=red,2,300]Vents & Intakes!!![/glow] These HO scale stairs from Plastruct are perfect for making vents or intakes! They come in at least 2 sizes... I cut the stairs to size, cut a hole big enough to fit and glued them in. This front vent will be turned into 3 vents later... stay tooned!!!

Ira, this is looking KILLER! I love the fins and vents. If I may make a suggestion concerning the jet engines? It would flow even better if you molded them to the body. I think it should flow around the middle fin so you don't see the rear of the engine. Dave

I think it should flow around the middle fin so you don't see the rear of the engine. Dave Thanks for your comments Dave! You're right about molding in around the engines. I was thinking about it and then I noticed that part of the outside of the engines have like an air deflector or heat shield maybe, that sticks out about 1/16". See the rear photo, it shows a little better in that shot. I was wondering if maybe I should leave an air space around those things? Maybe I'll mold the area around the engines and make a ridge around the deflector things and cover them with BMF...

[glow=red,2,300]More Interior Mods...[/glow] Took out thr big Trans Hump & replaced it with a low profile console. I carved this piece of plastic to fit on the shelf behind the rear seats. This addition extends the console all the way to the body edge. Here is the latest interior mock up. By the way, I reduced the width of the interior to fit inside the bubble top.

Having just built a 59 Impala, this is just too cool. Yes, very "Weesner-like".
