We all seem to have, more or less, an affinity for Steve Scott’s “Uncertain T”: www.showrods.com/large_image_pages/uncertain_t_large.htmlTim Nolan built a different one from Tom Daniels T `rantula: www.showrods.com/gallery_pages/2004_td_contest/my_showrod/uncertain_trantula/index.htmlAnd Dave Marek made a art rendition of Tim's build: www.showrods.com/flat_out_pages/uncertain_trantula.htmlI found Tims build always kool and experimented a few times around... Tim built a terrific model, no wonder, but, I did not want to build such another copy... I wanted it a little differently...  Somehow I was lucky, everything ran very well in the right direction, and one went to the other, finally finished today...  I started with the TD T’rantula, and cut the body in many parts, to assemble it again in a different position... And... The front axle has been widened, the steering linkage has been altered, cleaned the spokes of the bicycle wheels, the roof has been reduced in length and is now at a different angle to the body, the interior has been adapted, the engine is original and wired, with extended exhaust pipe ends, a new cooler with aluminum lattice of a colander, the front lights are from the MPC Tiki Trike, the rear light was a front light and now with a red gem, the drag chute is a fake, behind it lurks a new tankcap, and of course a new pair of my home-made rear wheels... Perfect job Bobby!
I like how you cut and fit it all to look so smooth.
Of course your trademark wheels and tires set it off.
I really like the grill and cooler.

Always amazes me how some people can cut a perfectly good kit into a jigsaw puzzle, reasemble in a different way, and come up with really excellent models.
I often pondered what those 'pits' were under a Trantula.
Release points from the mould ?. Stick plastic rod in to keep the body off the ground as it dries??
