Never saw one of these built, so I figured I'd build one. I don't think there is one in the Gallery. You may or may not like it, I think it's a neat little bugger. Boxstock, paint is GTS Blue Pearl. Option of either the Corvair or VW engine, I did the Corvair.

I built one when it FIRST came out (Yep, THAT long ago.) and as I recall, I was disappointed at how little it looked like the box art when finished too... None the less, a nice clean build Dave!

From the box art I always thought it would look like a Pantera. Like the others, this is the first built of I have seen of the kit. Very cool, a high class dune buggy for the street. Nice Job!

Never seen a real one but maybe there was something in the dune buggy/kit car world that inspired this.
Anything in the Vdub fiberglas database on this one Paul?

I checked the priceofhistoys site, which has a comprehensive list of kit cars and couldn't find anything that vaguely resembles it. I had the kit here once and as I recall it's a rebodied Empi Imp/California dune buggy. I think Revell was just squeezing revenue out of existing tooling. Kudos to Dave for getting this one up and running. |

Thats why those wheels looked so familiar !! I got one of those Empi Imp kits in the Model of the month club ; that build was on a shelf in my room for years
