First off, this was always my favorite entry in those stretched out AMT Funnycar/Dragsters, the Bugaboo. ;D I had built one of these way back in the stone age, but as a kid... 
. This time around I grabbed a reissue Stingaree, a set of repop decals and most importantly a "Joe D" fabricated resin body. The nice deal with the Stingaree is that a number of specific Bugaboo parts were included right on the trees, so way less scavenging was required. I did have to scratch build a windshield but that's about it. The paint is 4 coats of Sunburst yellow followed by some sparkle effect clear coat (I love that stuff). I wanted to mimic the original Bugaboo box art and give it a working dragster look, hence the decal placement. I had heard about a reissue of this a couple of years ago and that never materialized... now I don't care.
