The model itself started as the Car craft Magazine Dream Rod . That was around 1965. If I'm not mistaken, I think MPC had a hand in doing some if not on the tooling of this kit . Because of licensing , the kit was changed up slightly to become the model you see today .

Good to see this one again , Yours looks great ! I built a couple of these as a kid back when the Dream Rod first came out but they never looked as good as yours does ! Maybe it's time to try another one .

I'll go look, it is sharp I like the wide whites, did you ever own one? I had one when I was in ollege, it was actually my dads' and he gave it to me, it was a Meyers manx an it was a sapphire blue with a white interior.
