Look Monogram-no fins! Anybody want to take a guess on the origin of the roof? (Hint: it was pink plastic)! Painted and stripped, painted and repaired a couple more times. Pale Gold flake by HoK over Testors Gold. And clear over everything. It took all summer to get it painted! I also deleted the stupid carriage lights they mounted on the cowl. More work than it sounds like. I also attempted to delete the shark gills but that came back to haunt me and caused a repaint. I also cut out the bottom of the body to paint the body as a unit and allow the interior to be installed from the bottom after the paint was done. I then replaced the panel, the joints are all hidden by the slicks. Not that anyone cares.

Ahh, but we do care. Nice rendition of the Shark, and much nicer without the fins. Kudos!

Looks like a lotta good work. --i believe we care! .... I was try'n to guess what the top came from, honestly, --I dont know. I can't think of what was molded in pink, I'm gonna just guess it was a hood from something.
Very nice build, look forward to your next.

Thanks, guys. Yes Al you are correct, it is a hood. But what pink kit could it be from? Not that much pink plastic out there.

Hmmm, '59 Caddy hood?
That's pretty sharp, the new roofline really changes the appearance.

Great build ! It looks much better without the fins ! The roof looks like a Pinto hood . . . there must be a Pink Pinto out there somewhere !
