I like the look of braided lines, but it's such a pain to work with. Threading the line through fittings and holes isn't much fun. I've tried Ca glue but that wicks up the line and can dry white making it look like crap, let alone it makes the line stiff. I've tried Ca gel, along with some other glues, nothing worked to my liking.
Today I think I've found the best solution, clear nail polish. It doesn't wick, dries fast and holds the individual wires very well. Just a dab on the end of the wire, followed by a quick, light pull between my fingers to work it into the braid and to pull the excess off worked perfect. A few seconds to let it dry and you're ready to thread it through the smallest of holes.
