As usual: Comments for the Contest go here to keep the Entry Thread clean and organized. PLEASE be kind to your fellow showrodders. Negativity is not condoned. Everyone has worked very hard on their builds... This is a celebration, not a critique. If you choose to make "suggestions" on what YOU might have done, please do your best to present it in an encouraging manner. This can be a touchy area for some when creativity is involved, so let's keep that in mind, and have some fun!

Bob,
Love the Roswell Rod, how was it to build? Is it a complete kit?

Bob, damn fine build on the Roswell Rod! Other than the orange being too dark (can't see the red striping very well) I would say that is the best build of that kit I've seen. Love that you took the initiative to replace the one piece chassis and reworked the bubble to open. Sure would love to see it in person!

I agree with you about the paint , what was I thinking ?! And thanks Ira and Dennis ! And Mysterion , It's a complete kit but all I used was the body , front and rear grilles , bubble top , and the interior pieces .

Knarf, as already said, cool zingers. I didn't realize those things were that small. Assembly must have been a PITA. I think I like the truck the best.
Plasimatic, that looks great. A really clean build.
Dennis, what an unusual kit, part showrod, part cartoon. I love it. You do need to take some better pics though.

Thanks Bob .. my biggest stumbling block ? TIME ... and this was "just a restoration" so I stuck with simple box stock stuff and remember it's very small for my ball mitts ..lmao .. and lastly .. I have a mint "RamRod" in the box that will eventually get built with all the bells and whistles .. The Taxi was a sealed kit .. I pulled it out and repaired a few damaged parts but the decal sheet was destroyed !.. I turned to out own RALLYMASTER to come to my rescue.. Dave lives much further north of Illinois where I reside and when I "called in the troops" Dave came to the rescue traveling several hours away from his home in a WINTER BLIZZARD to his storage facility just to secure me a set of replacements the trekking to the Post Office to mail them! . WOW!! what a guy ! .. now THAT'S what I call love of the hobby !.. Thanks for the kudos and special thanks to our own RALLYMASTER Dave Rasmussen !!!

Tooold - Very nice Roswell Rod! Great to see such a unique piece done up. Dennis - Same goes for the Stroker Phone Booth. knarf - those Zingers look good all beefed up, especially the van. Chuck - Nice Ram Rod. I'm partial to those Aurora kits, too. I just don't have any to build. And that Taxi came out great!

Nice resto on the Ram Rod, a little history of the hobby saved from idiots like me who would've cut it up.

WOW!!
Very nice entries.
tooold - Awesome Roswell Rod - this is an amazing build. You really nailed it! I love the color.
knarf - The Zingers are always cool. I especially like the van. the tires and huge engine along with the color look really cool!
plasmatic - this is the best Sand Shark I've seen. By making some slight changes you turned this into a masterpiece.
Dennis M - Very nice phone booth. I've always wanted to do something with this if I find one. Is this the one you were working on from scratch pieces?
Starry Eyes - You got me on the Blue Saphire. I never knew it existed. Nice work. the Good Guys taxi is perfect.....how can anything look bad with cragers on?
Awesome work guys.
