This is an easy way for me, others may have a better method but to me it's close to "scale" and quick. I used on this body Tamiya Italian Red Lacquer followed by 4 coats of Krylon Red Glitter and last 2 coats of Tester Wet Look Clear sanded with 600 and two more wet coats which will be buffed out before final assembly. The Krylon Glitter comes in about 20 different glitter colors. Recoat after 10 minute flash time and fully dry after 2 hours. It dries semi gloss before being cleared. I also tried the silver over a Black and Gold lacquer paint job and used Tamiya Clear Lacquer as a compatibility test. Paul Click the boxes for the unopened photos grrrrr photo bucket.

Cool technique!
Also, most of the Testors One-Coat metallic lacquer spray paints have very large metallic particles in them which are way out of scale for 1:25 kits. Those can be used as scale metal flake paints.

Those can be used as scale metal flake paints. The one advantage over the Testers One Coat is the Krylon Glitter is a flaked clear coat so it opens up a wide range of effects. Paul
