Under a month until we get our names! I'm trying to figure out how to do a streaming video thing so you can see the names come out of the hat LIVE. That would be fun! |

I thought each participant would be sent a PM with the names That's a fair point - what if someone wanted to keep the name secret? I'm not saying we have to - but it might be cool if we did, yeah! Good thinking! Maybe I'll secretly draw them out and just PM them like you say. That works for me! |

Either way is fine with me. Secret or not... you guys decide on that. I'm game. I will say that if someone gets a name they can't think of anything for, and mine is better, pm me and I will trade. I don't care. I'll build a car to any name. |

I figured we'd run it up until Christmas and then have a week for a public vote between Christmas and New Year - if that sounds good to everyone? I figure most people will have some time off around Christmas to view all the builds and vote for their favourites |

BIG NEWS, KLOWNS!
I'm really excited about this one! I've been trying to pull this off for a couple of weeks - and it happened! One builder in the contest will receive a GOLDEN TICKET NAME. What's a Golden Ticket, I hear you ask? Well, a VERY well known name in the 1:1 hot rod / show rod world has agreed to contribute a name to the contest. A name that they never used for a build themselves, but that has been rattling around their head for maybe years, just waiting for a someone just about krazy enough to build it. And one of you lucky klowns will get that builder's name, drawn out at random when we draw the names out on September 14th!
The person who submitted the name, who's identity will be revealed at the end, is a HUGE name in the car world and as modellers we will (almost) certainly know who they are. It was SO cool of them to offer up their time and thoughts and agree to let us have a name to use - a name that would have been a CLASSIC if they'd got around to using it. This is really cool! I'm SO excited about this! It's a GREAT hot rod / show rod name too!
Feel free to guess who it is, but I'm not saying until the end... 
So, if you haven't signed up yet - now's a good time to enter! Let's keep the momentum rolling here!

Oh, and our mystery builder also gave some notes on what he imagined for the build - which you can take or leave as you see fit. I'll send them over to the lucky builder when the time comes!
