Dude! Nice paint! Love that color - nice choice! Is it a lacquer or enamel?
Either way - look! I’d just give it a class designation somewhere (V/W? 😂🤪) maybe...or think of a cool name! Goldbug or something (but not that, that’s a terrible name).
Glad to see some more on this one!

Whoa that colour is amazing! Thanks Pat. It's "Old School" Metal Flake enamel.

The class is AA/FA (AA/Fuel Altered). I've been trying to come up with a name but it seems all the kewl ones have been taken.

How about "Go Like Stink Bug"
The color combos look great. I really liked watching this one come together. Great work!

Both of those graphics look great Paul. I like the font for the name and the bug graphic for the hood. Would have to find out if either is copy righted.

A small update on this build: I was finally able to paint the interior of the body Flat Black. It takes a long time for four coats of Metallic Lime Gold Gloss enamel to dry. All I have to do to finish this build is to add the twin chutes in back and some decals. Here are a couple of pics. I'm trying out some white back ground using paper towels. Thanks for looking. More UPDATE: I added the twin chutes and cords to the back of the body. The chute cords come from a diecast f/c chassis I have. I cut the cords from the chassis and super glued them to the rear axle. I drilled holes into the chutes to fit the cords. I attached the twin pack to the body with super glue. Once set up I added the chute cords to the holes. Here are a few pics: Comments welcome.

Paul really has the name down, even you can't yet be not calling it the Gold Bug!

Hey gang! I got some decals on this, not sure if the font for the name is what I want to go with. Let me know what you think. The sponsor decals are from sheets left over from other builds. I plan on getting some Nostalgia decals from the 60's and 70's later this week. Here are a few pics of how it looks for now. Thanks for looking and comments welcome. If anything, maybe fatter and a wee bit bigger, but these aren't "too bad"

Thanks Paul. Well, unfortunately, I can't make these any fatter or bigger as they are made by Slixx Decals. I'm posting a new pic that shows adding "The" to the name. These letters are 1/8 inch tall. The large letters are 1/4 inch tall. I was hoping that the letters in both sizes had a shadow effect but they didn't. Anyways, here's the pic I took: I hope to get this finished up in the next week or two. Thanks for looking.

That's a bad ass drag bug? Nice work with just enough detailing, I like it.

Have a small update on this, got a few more period correct decals on this. I'm waiting on the weather here in Central PA to get better so I can get the "Gold Bug" picture printed on decal paper and then fixed with clear so I can finish this up. Anyway, here's a pic of how it looks at this time. Thanks for looking.
