I looked very closely at the motor when it was running (well, as close as I could) and it didn't look like the barrel valves for the fuel injection were connected to the throttle i.e. when the throttle was being blipped the linkages weren't moving. Could it be they've pulled the old show rod trick of hiding a single carb inside the intake rather than try to get that pyramid system running smoothly? Hopefully the show will reveal all!

Too bad this show wasn't around when Shuten restored the Panthermobile and recreated The Green Hornet (The Grasshopper).

I noticed at the beginning of the show, when they went to pick it up from the guy who was selling it, there was the Outhouse show rod in the background.

Galpin has the Bed Buggy. Maybe how they knew about The Bathtub? I've seen old pictures of the unrestored Bathtub beside the Bed Buggy.

Guess I am a little late to the show. I just watched the episode last night. That was very cool to see the Bathtub brought to life - That never was. I never realized the frame was upholstered. I have a rebuilder stashed away. Now I know how to do it right.
I would like to see what else the Jersey guy has in his stash beside the Outhouse.
I also noticed the Zingers behind the narrator. What is the story with Galpin Auto Sports? Are they gathering up all the classic show cars?

What is the story with Galpin Auto Sports? Are they gathering up all the classic show cars? They have quite a few show cars and drag and exhibition cars they've basically saved and restored. The interview I saw said they feel that it is good to show them and have them on display rather than someone hiding them in a garage or just laying in a deteriorated state. The displays at their shop is open to anybody at no cost.
Only thing I saw different on the Bathtub was the multi color "bubbles" are not on it. Paul
