Scale Auto MagazineDear Subscriber, Since 1979, Scale Auto has been proud to offer the latest tips and techniques to help car-modeling enthusiasts build the coolest, hottest, most realistic models on four wheels. While we remain committed to serving scale-auto enthusiasts, we regret to announce that we are discontinuing publication of Scale Auto magazine. October 2020 will be the final issue. However, the Scale Auto brand will live on in the pages of FineScale Modeler and online, where our dedicated audience of car modelers will continue to find product news, model builds and advice from the greatest modeling experts in the world. As a subscriber to Scale Auto, you may have one or more issues of your subscription remaining. You will receive FineScale Modeler magazine for the remainder of your subscription, starting with the November issue. If you’re already a FineScale Modeler magazine subscriber, your current FineScale Modeler subscription will be extended for as many issues remaining on your Scale Auto subscription. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact customer support at customerservice@ScaleAuto.info, or by phone at 877-246-4879. Outside the U.S. and Canada, call 903-636-1125. We thank all our subscribers for their support and loyalty over the years, and we look forward to continuing to serve you through the pages of FineScale Modeler. The Scale Auto and FineScale Modeler Teams I just received this email...

I think the writing has been on the wall for some time where Scale Auto is concerned (and I never really forgave them for dropping the word "Enthusiast" from the title!). Printed magazine publication is not a happy place to be these days - between people turning to the web for instant information and less folks getting involved with niche hobbies (and that's modelling), titles like Scale Auto face a pretty bleak future.

Scale Auto was my first taste of a modelling website especially cars. The notice I received about a week ago about the magazine finishing was a shock as I have a subscription for it until December 2021. They tell me that it will be included in the
Finescale Magazine but I'm not a military builder, tanks or planes. I'll have to see how it turnes out.
Since last weekend I haven't been able to sign in to either Scale Auto or the Finescale websites. They answer by email saying that they had a system upgrade last weekend and I should sort out my 'Caches and Cookies' to get back in.
When I contacted them again I asked how I was to do that as I'm not IT/PC savvy they haven't answered!
Is the Scale Auto website now out of action for ever?
PLUS I've just ordered and paid for their Contest Cars 2020 edition! I hope I get it!

I only ever bought a few copies too expensive in Australia and left the forums as the posters there are not as friendly as you guys.

They also say to 'To clear browsing data/cookies and caches', this knocks out both my Yahoo email and my wife's Gmail account and hey presto still doesn't allow me to open either Scale Auto or Finescale! I've tried today to open a new account but doesn't allow me as they already have my email address on record. Oh well I don't suppose it'll be there much longer , so I'll just go in now and again to see what other people are up to!
