Before you say anything just know my brother is in bad shape right now. Chuck (Starryeyes?) Rob, Don, and a ton of old folks here know me. I don't play games. At his request and his request only has brought me here to day. My brother is fighting for his life due tt a substantial sized Brain Tumor. He just found out a couple days ago. When I spoke to him yesterday his request was to contact the coffin corner and notify all our buddies here. Out of all the people in the world he didn't choose family he chose you all. You are a massive part of his life and you talk to him more here. He needs everyone's help to push him forward and help him come home. He doesn't have insurance due to loosing his job from a work injury a few months ago. He needs you all to help. I am not asking for anything. But if you can help him out with a card, drawings parts and so on. If money is sent make it gift card. I will drop his address in Poteet Texas. Here is my number Kenneth Hawkins 210-289-2995 & 210-862-7983. My brother is unable to see and can barely move or talk. He needs you guys to send him some love. He needs help to fight. Without it I am afraid he will give up. I mean this senserly. I am not a begger and everyone who knows me knows this. Chuck, Don, Rob and a million others here can verify this address. 235 Sundown Lane Poteet Texas 78065. Ask anyone who knows him. Marvin Hawkins II SlowPoke Pokey. Family calls him Pokey. And if you call him Pokey, then Brothers (And Sisters) you are family. He is calling for you all. We have to help him. He is about the only person in 100 miles of us that will talk to me and I can't loose him. I need him. He needs you all. Please do something for him. God please. I don't care what it is you send or what you do for him. My 72 year old father is getting his stuff. Anything sent lands in our dads hands. Chuck, Don help us out please. Help me push pull or drag some love to him. I need you to help me help him. Like I said I don't care what you send. As long as it's some love and he knows you all are behind him. Thanks in advance for not taking this done. I do apologise for dropping this on board but how else will his message get to you all. I apologize for any inconveniences this causes any of you. Thanks for everything.

A quick note. He made it through surgery and the large tumor has been removed. But they found another smaller one they didn't remove as it would cause too much damage to him. The small one the doctor says is cancer. I will have more info today or tomorrow. This has been a real drain on all of us here. I don't think I slept 4 hours in the past week. I know I only eat once in 5 days. This is killing use. Thank you all for whatever you do for him. He needs it.

Please let him know his friends here are praying for him as well as you and your family . I believe he has received your card Don. I want to thank you Paul, Don, showrodjohn for what you have done and let you know he has received your items. It has done a lot for him, you just dot know. We are trying to keep his meds coming in and his bills paid but the help from you guys (even if its a dollar) helps him out. I He is in good spirits and is doing good with the help from you all. Please if nothing else drop him a line, email, message, anything. It will liven up his day. I know how hard he has it. I have been there myself with neck surgery. I was bed ridden for just about a year. Its a long road but we (with help from others such as you guys) will get him through this and back on his feet. Thank you Paul, Don and John for the help and anyone else who has contributed to the cause.

He is about to be a grandfather again for the 3rd time and his daughter is naming her baby (a girl) after the nurse my brother had at the Methodist hospital at Stone Oak. I can't remember her name but his daughter (my niece) should be sending it to me here real soon. My brother has asked me to draw him something as well and he has never showed interest in my art. I used to draw all the time, 24/7. But life happened and I just stopped drawing, building and so much more. Thinking back on it makes life seam miserable. As soon as I get the request from him I will drop some info down here so you can do something for him. I appreciate what you guys have done and are doing. Don PM sent

I just found out that the Kemo is going to be $125,000 a year out of pocket because he doesn't have insurance right now. The doctor filed his SSID for him but his date is some time end of next month. I am going out to see him again today and hope to have his request in hand when I come home. Anything to brighten his day guys would be great. His sister (we both say that to each other)( mom hates it) came from New Mexico to see him this week. He is doing ok after the last trip to the emergency room. Headache and what not. I am selling anything I have to to help out. Kensfinds1326 on the bay. Ihate to advise but we need the money. So everything must go. I just put a bunch of stuff up today. I gave my brother my 1:1 1927 Coupe to do as he wished with. Handing him the title in a couple hours. Just hope there is a miracle around the corner. I know there always is but I am not a patient man by any means. I hope you all can drop the big G a line and put a good word. We could use it.

Well it is a blessed day. I don't know how many people put a good word in for my brother but we got good news. Without insurance he was excepted for Chemotherapy on his first referral from the surgeon. He has an appointment Wednesday this coming week. Now that is a blessing from above. He is still up beat and thanks to Don, Paul and John for the love you sent brothers. He is tickled pink. I am finally able to breath a little. It's hard work trying to stay sane. My brother says thank you guys for the help. He will be back on when he can look at the screen more than 5 min. It's hard to hold his head up. But things are looking even better now. I am more than happy right now. Thank you. I will keep you posted.

Update for those who would like to know. My Marvin (Pokey) still can't get into kemo due to not having insurance. He should see SSDI next month and we will know if he will get Medicare. I had a chiropractor blow out 4 disks in my neck 2016 I believe it was. I had surgery and got SSDI and I had to wait 2 years to get Medicare. From what I know he will have to wait as well. I talked to my mom, dad and brother and told them if he doesn'have it by end of next month we were going to have to figure out how to foot the bill. He has to have it. No question! He can barely do anything due to his left side being unresponsive. Might have something to do with the removal of the 80.5 mm tumor on his head. I rebuilt him a rolling walker the neighbor gave him. Looks sharp. Then I ordered a new one to use in the dictors Offices. He is pushing to get around. For the surgery he had he is moving under his own power. Left leg doesn't want to cooperate most days. I a week or so he wants to part w8th a lot of model kits. He told me the stuff he just got will never be for sale. Those mean a lot to him. He is dying to do anything and is looking for 3D puzzles. He needs to regain his fine motor skills. If you know where we can get some let me know. Maybe a trade or something. I will keep you guys posted how things unfold.

Update for you all. He has an appointment with SSDI coming in the next week or so. They are thinking he will get insurance then but I had to wait 2 years to get mine. Chiropractor broke my neck dang near. Blew out 4 disks in my neck. After surgery about 8 months I was rear ended by a young girl doing 70 and I was going 0mph. Blew out several disks in my lower back and messed my neck up even more. I hope Pokey gets to where he can at least do models or even go-to the garage and work on the 1/1's. Hopefully he gets the insurance and can get his Kemo (yes I am aware it's not spelled nothing like that). He really needs it. Thanks you guys.

I know it's been a minute sense my last update. Pokey (my brother) is (as we know) ios in bad shape. He was in bed for 3 days and wouldn't eat. I finally got him up and sitting down for the day. Most of it anyhow. He is in so much pain and wants to give up. I won't let him. He finally got insurance and a ton of appointments the past couple days and all next week. Things are finally moving forward but he is probably going to have another surgery as the tumor he had removed was 8.5cm and the new one is 11.5cm. it's causing him a tremendous amount of pain. I can't stand to see him like this. It's breaking my heart. Please put a good word for him. He could use all the help he can get.

Well it is with a broken heart I tell you we are putting Pokey my beloved brother and friend in hospice to be more comfortable. His brain cancer, lung cancer, pneumonia, colone cancer, stomach issues due to treatments and of course let's not forget the new issue sent from China COVID. Doctor says I won't be long but has went above and beyond to do everything he can but said he has about 1% chance of any kind of life period. So we are going to make him comfortable and let him pass. It is the hardest decision I have made in my life. It's killing me to inform you of this and will possibly be the last time you ever here from me again. For the 3 members who sent him something in an effort to brighten his day even for a second I thank you. He charished what you sent. He is no longer with us in mind as he can't talk, see or comprehend what's really going on most if the time. His grand daughter was born hand he never got to lay eyes on her. Lisette. He wanted her named after the great nurse who did so much for him before and after surgery and she was. That's going to be one hard story to tell. You will never hear from him again and he spoke so highly of a lot of people here and he only heard from 3 of you. Well it goes to show who was real. This will be my last post. I have nothing more to say that's productive.
