It's better than the red original, in my opinion. I really really like that "Made in USA" decal. I'm really tired of this china stuff. Just because....

That is nice box art. First time I've seen brass knuckles on a car. Tough.

All Atlantis kits are made in NY USA. Pete/owner said many things are being held up by material shortages. He said they can't get boxes to put kits in!

Maybe package them in a bag with a collector card? I sure don't need more boxes!

I actually think this is a really good idea!

Yes...I'd buy bagged kits....but retailers want uniform packaging and look to keep their planogram working. So if Pete wants retailers, Hobby Lobby buys a lot, boxes needed.

I was thinking of something like these old bad boys: Just hang on a rack, maybe an end cap.

planograms ugh. I worked at Radio Shack in The mid 70's and early 80's.
When I was unemployed in 2012 I thought it would be a good way to close out my work history by working at the local RS. One more time.
Man what a big change I was unprepared for. Planograms. Sure.. where's the stock?

What the heck is a planogram, a telegram sent by plane? I was self-employed from 1994-2019, when Covid forced my retirement hand (thank you, Covid!), so I guess I missed out on some workplace "progress"!

Planogram is a set placement of product so that each store in a chain is the same or as close as possible. My son deals with it daily at Walgreens too.

I do like the new box art. I always liked this kit and would love to see a 1:1 version.

I know the originals were two piece with that ugly seam right in the middle of the tread which is probably why Atlantis replaced them , it would be a shame if they were too small . I found these pics on Model Roundup and they look okay but it's hard to tell . . . I also found this website with a lot of really good pics of the kit contents , plus the contents of the original kit ! www.dembrudders.com/atlantis-124-son-of-troublemaker-kit-review.html

Doubt Atlantis got the old Monogram wrinkle wall 2 part tires used on the original kit. Tooling a new tire for this kit does not make sense.

Well, I for one am headed to my local model shop to see if I can grab one. Those 'new' slicks are killer in my estimation

I guess if you really wanted to , you could replace them with some old Monogram slicks ; they used them in a lot of kits ,so it shouldn't be too hard to find a pair

The Snake and Mongoose based funny cars too. The only issue that the new ties create is the engine oil pan drags so you need to trim some.......it's too deep for a drag car any way.

not sure if the wrinkled slicks would fit under the body. . These are the original slicks from the first issue. .
