Last November 11th, a former member here passed away. Most commonly known as Krazy Rick, he built all kinds of wild cars, show rods, monsters, did lots of custom paint for people on models and motorcycles and had lots of wild ideas. His collection showed up at a hobby shop last week and it will take some time to sort out.
Question...what do you all plan to do with your stuff? Are you keeping it until you die or passing it along to family and friends before then? I have some stuff to get rid of but it is fragile and hard to pack and ship. I don't want to leave it for someone else to sort out, so I prefer to pass it along now. There are no real model car museums and few real car museums that want models. Hmmm???

I honestly do not have any plan. My wife will most like have a yard sale and sell all my prized processions off for $1 each

When we last moved house I took 100 built models to the municipal tip, as no one wanted them. The guy running it had a grandson who loved cars and bikes so the guy took them home for the boy. My son's aren't interested in them so when I pop my clogs my wife will be pleased to see them go, probably try to sell them at a local Saturday market that sells antiques and odds and sods and donate the money to a local charity!

This thing is a very hard to deal with ... one possibility is to sell it on e bay.. but thats not the most reliable resource but a good possibility. If you know someone or have a loved one who will handle all your hobby work and sell them for you. May as well teach them ahead of time how to put in packages or some other ways.. It will be better to sell it online... rather than sell it on yard sale with the thought of really trying to get rid of it fast. You wont get much money that way though.
Just a thought.

Sorry to hear about Rick.
I just started the process of selling most of my stuff on eBay. They take a healthy cut.
I'll hang on to a few kits that I started or had real plans for. I don't plan on doing much box stock between now and the end. I finally realized that there is no way I'll ever build them all. Besides, I want to he money to complete a real car project. I have no idea what will happen to my built models. I haven't thought that far ahead.
RIP Rick.
