Okay, so, been busy with work, hence, this was kind of a build to keep me going on models.
I've always liked the Opel for its sporty styling, and I picked this AMT kit up at the local Ollies for a good price.
A nice little kit with plenty of options.It's released under the Hot Wheels brand, and I went with the custom version, painted an appropriate metallic lime, but avoided adding all those branded decals, save one... the license plate.
The green is acrylic airbrush, and the layered color coats make the end result in the pics look bumpy, even tho the gloss coat finish is smooth.

Looks great. Love the color choice! Sorry, Stevie, I didn't do the full engine, just the parts that would be seen, since I knew I was going to glue in the hood. I did see a couple of build vids online, tho. Those may help. |
