Working more on the skeleton, using toilet paper & paper towels for clothes. I cut off the arm that was originally giving the "Beyonce armpit pose" and will make a little hook for the end of the arm, after the arm was glued back on in a different position (the hand was filed down on the back on the skull). A few more details need to be painted (along with some touchups), but the assembling is now pretty much done. Rigging still needs to be done ... but I'm also looking at doing something different with the pirate flag, as the one that comes in the kit (as well as other flags) is printed on heavy glossy paper. I feel like I didn't spend all this time working on this car just to fold over flags printed on glossy paper!

The work on the skeleton is looking AWESOME!!!!!!!!..........I have said it before, but that color of the Jolly Rodger is just beautiful!!!!!.................Fred
PS--make sure the skeleton is sitting on a towel so as not to dirty up the beautiful interior of the car/boat!!!! ;D ;D

Skeleton Jack got his hook hand yesterday ... I cut a section out of a pointy Testors tube glue cap, glued that on to the end of the arm, bent some wire and glued that inside the cap section ... worked out pretty well!!

I agree. . .the color combo is just perfect. . . LOVE IT. . .and I will be thinking of yours when I build mine.
My only question is the yellow bulb on the horn. . . is jumps out at you first. . .and well. . . the rest of the boat is just so beautiful. . . it should take first glance not the horn. Maybe it is just the picture.
I can't stop looking at your build. . it is just perfect! I hope you take it around to local shows. . . .it would be a winner!

Yea, that bulb is a little glaring ... I almost went with a flat black or red ... maybe a darker maroon color so it loses the clown car aspect! I thought it might have looked sort of nice, giving the car a little color, but I misjudged on that!! Something to work on tonight along with finishing the skeleton (now that my cold feels like its not going to take hold & knock me out completely, I can actually work some more on it!)
The car will be at the GMO NNL show this June in Bloomington, MN ... can't wait to see the reactions to it!
