Heres the engine to a little project I got goin' for the Kemp's model show at the Kansas Leadsled. Got around to printing up some decals, made some little "8-Ball" headlamps out of Paddywagon globes, and "Defribillated" the breather. It'll have some skulls & an Iron Cross design/Motif. So, what are you dropping that into? Thanks guys! Hey Tim, I started this about a week or so ago, ironiclly when you started your "paper or plastic" thread. I started with card board for the templates. "beer case" cardboard(or a pop case but I tend to have more of the other around ). I then cut the sheet styrene. filled some of the gaps with "halftime putty for strenth and sticky-ness. I then used a product called "paperclay".(www.paperclay.com/ It can be molded pretty easy and stays plexable for a little while and I keep a dish of water around for smoothing. It's "no bake", dries rock hard in 24 hours, can be sanded(like butter), painted, and added on to.
this project is about finished, there are moderations made to the front end as well a lot of little detail being done.
If some one wants to make a "barbed wire whitewall, feel free to copy and paste this image to a file and print out on white decal paper.(you'll have to "size" it for whatever size wheel your using.(the one pictured in the top photo in the thread was just a test print on paper to check the size)

Hey Jerry.. Lookin' MAD.. Great stuff.. Hey I'm using that Skull too for my "Pain Killer".. I never thought about all the linkage details.. I'd love to learn how you did it.. BiLL.. Just some spare "rope" parts from a ship model that look like linkage. PM me if you want some with your address again when your ready and I'll send some out to ya. I built the pipes out of spare chrome sprue. Quote-"Does that skull got the butterflies in his eyes?" Hey Soooperdave, yes, it is just some crome flashing cut out in circles. Hey Dano, the foam doesn't expand, it is hard regular body filler for strenth and stickyness. I added the "Paperclay" molding clay around that. It's done but not perfect. I don't know if I should wait for the showrods contest to show it or what. Thanks for the comments guys, Jerry
