Hi guys, really dig this site-the best one I've found yet. ;D ;D ;D I'm on Vancouver Island in Nanaimo and I kind of need some help due to being not so bright. A couple of years ago we were moving and I downsized my collection So here we are and I was checking out my general Lee (Older re-issue) and guess what-- One of the rims and tires were missing What a moron- I was playing swap the tires and didn't put things back!! Dooh Dooh repeat as often as you want.... Any Help would be great thanks Gollum P.S. Great to be here ;D ;D ;D

it's a blessing in disquise actually. Those rims are incorrect for the General Lee. What you want are the rims from the Eckler Vette or Farrahs Foxy Vette (same kit)

Thank you Paul for the tip. That rig looks cool. So now the question is............. Does anybody have those rims that I could purchase? I still wouldn't mind getting a replacement rim and tire because I shaved down the backside of one to get the see-thru effect. I plan on stripping the chrome off and painted them aluminium. The Lee's original rims do look cool. Thanks again Paul you guys are great ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Keep The Faith Gollum

Hello Gollum: if you look at Paul's car, you will notice he used a correct kit, the AMT/MPC kit is incorrect, the kit uses the wrong body, they have a charger 500 body where the general lee was a R/T, the revell kit would be a great donor,
Keith Marks sells a correct decal set also, I have one in the works, and Paul is right about the rims, I do have a set of General lee rims I stripped for another project, as for the general lee, it is stalled for the moment
but if you want the rims, I can part with them,
take care George

Hi Guys- I got the Revell Charger when it came out in regular (not Pro-modeller) years ago just for this project. but I didn't know about the rims. The 500 will be Nascared along with the AMT Daytona (ex-mpc).
George- I'd hate to take a set when I only really need one-maybe someone has an odd one in their great plastic parts palace-Thanks though ;D ;D ;D

Hi Gollum: I have a set of rims from the MPC General Lee kit, I stripped them and repainted 2 of them, I was originally going to use them for a general lee, but a friend of mine a while back pointed them out to me that they were incorrect, so I was going to use them on a 70's van, never did. as for the decals, there's Keith Marks, I highly recommend this guy, he sent me a set in the correct colors, the general lee on the roof from the amt kit is incorrect, the colors are wrong, I paid $5 or $6 for the set and it is better than bugsy's junkers. public.fotki.com/mofobow/dodge/charger/69_charger_general_lee/here's his email mofobow@hotmail.com a great link for model cars www.socalcarculture.com/modelcarlinks.html
