Hello Fellow Modelers. I'm looking for a MPC Fire Truck #13. It's my understanding that the Model made by AMT called "The Outcast" can be made into a Firetruck#13. If so what parts do I need, and does anyone have those parts (Like the ladder, or decals)? PM me Please!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Decals can be sourced by Slippery Arts (thanks to Decal Dan!), there's a link on the Showrods site.
Main parts you'll be needing are the ladders (easy scratchbuild), red light for the blower (old Police car kit?), headers (solder?), fire extinguisher (parts box?), radiator (tricky), rear "licence" plate (very tricky) and, I think, the monocle-type windscreen (really tricky).
Or you could drop me a PM if you're interested in a complete kit, with some Slippery Art decals.
One word though, the kit is not an accurate replica of the real thing, the engine, frame and running gear are completely wrong.
The exaust from the re-issed AMT 32 fords is close, but no cigar, they would have to be reworked, Chimmneyville hobbies has the police lights, Johan 66 fury police car or the amt 70 galaxie would provide one, maybe even the 66 caddilac ambulance by Johan,
the front rims, amt bantam blast has them, a few resin casters make them, I have a set,
rear rims, some of the polar lights funny cars have them I think it is the hawaiian charger and mr. norms charger,
Paddy wagon by monogram could provide a closer looking set of headlights,
as for the grill, one of the older model t kits by amt could provide it,
all depends on how correct you want it, the real car still exists, email Chuck Miller Enterprises, he might send you pics of the real deal, he very rarely sells any of his hot rods, he owns the red baron and a few others.
take care George
