i got this from tim nolan awhile back, and it was a baaaad glue bomb. i think it's the funster version of the zzzzz-28..not sure. anyway, i had to do alot of body work, because there were chunks broken off of the body in various places. i was missing one headlight, which don sent me the other day (thanks don). the rear tires, rims, ladder bars, base and parachute are from a polar lights snap draggin (thanks fred). the hood scoop is an old "grump lump" that i had laying around, and i molded it to the hood. there is a 1:24 scale tunnel ram and carbs under the scoop, with fuel lines going to them. the front rims and tires are 1:20 scale, from the chuck wagon kit. the front axle is just a straight peice of rod, and the headers are cut down from a set of 1:18 muscle machine diecast pipes. tim originally sent me this for the tires..i wanted to try and use them on the deals wheels 57 that i restored awhile back (but i didn't use them because they were glue melted in some spots). so, this ended up sitting in a box for awhile. i started messing with it, and started doing the body work...then i gave up because there was so much work that needed to be done to make it look right again. aj and i started talking, and we brainstormed the idea of making this a grumpy jenkins pro stocker, with a spoof name. i had alot of problems with paint (the clear turning yellow on the first try). i had to re-do some of the body work, and i just lost interest. it sat again for a month or 2, until i picked it back up 2 weeks ago..and finally finished it. the idea was to make it look like the grumpys toy pro stock 70 camaro, that's why i painted it white...all i need now are some custom decals to make it complete.

Hey Rob, I was doing a search on Google and found this forum which I didn't even know existed (hey everyone!) Sorry about the slow reply, I've been REALLY busy lately. The 57 is already posted on my site, has been for a while. It's on the Gallery page: treswright.vervehosting.com/Click on Gallery in the left frame, it's the second one down. The one on top is a Zzzzz-28 I just completed myself, has a Baron motor grafted onto it Later!

Man Tres, good to see you finally came on over to the Coffin Corner. I can't believe I never mentioned it to you years ago when Dave started it. Anyway, it's good to see you joining in and that is one awesome looking ZZZZZ-28. Never would have thought about grafting in the engine from the Baron which is good cause I got a couple old glue bombs which will come in handy now...LOL! Thanks for the tip!
Show some more when you have a chance and I always enjoy checking out your stuff on your site from time to time.

Paul, thank you!! AJ, hey man!! Wow, it's been a loooong time, I've wondered from time to time if you were still into models. It's hard to get away once they're under your skin though ;D I somehow missed that there's a forum here until I tripped across it in the above-mentioned Google search. I'll have to sign up so I don't have to keep typing in that silly security check every time Sorry for sending your thread a little OT Rob!

Charlie, thanks for the warm welcome!
Rob, thanks! I'll try and get your new Z posted on the next update. I'll probably put it in with the 57 for now, then when you get it finished up I'll set it up on another page.
Hey Don! How's the Lil Herbie coming along? I think Keith is working on one as well, but he's going to do some custom work on his.
