I'm starting to build the Silhouette ,and I'm wondering - is there a trick to get the interior in after the body is put together ? I've seen a few builds where he body seams have been filled in , and I really don't want a huge seam showing when I get around to painting it !

Don.. I was goimg to ask the same question when I started mine a few months ago. I went lookin' at the gallery and only 1 silhoette to be found.. Boom's great build. He cut a hatch in the belly to get the interior in last.. Someone else did it by (which is the way I'm doing it.) building, painting the inteior putting it in first. Cover real good with masking tape. Then building the body,do the body work, paint and unmask the interior and hope for the best.. I've got some pictures I'll post in projects when I get my pc world back together. BiLL.. Here's one pic. interior half painted and chasis in place. Motor will go in last.

On mine, I cut away the center section of the belly pan. When I (eventually ) assemble it, the interior will be glued to the body, the chassis will be glued to the belly pan, then the chassis & pan goes up into the body from underneath. One thing I noticed during my test fittings--the belly wants to drag on the ground up between the front wheels. You might take a look at that and make any corrections necessary before you go too gung-ho gluing things.

Don Here's a link that might help. The real car never had a bottom plate. This worked for me. BOOM

There may be another way, but I assembled it all, puttied the seams and taped out the interior to paint the body. It came out great. I don't have a picture though. If I can dig out the model I will take a pic and post.

That is a nice clip of the car actually driving around. I'm suprised ,The interior looks a little plain. And the console looks orange-maybe it was the California sun shining on it ?
