I am LOOKING for a model car kit that is extremely hard to find. It resembles the bad medicine dragster made by Tom Daniels. It is my guess that it was made in the 1970s or 1980s. It is a Skill 2 and is a front engine dragster. It may be called The Reaper or something similar. The kit included a skeleton driver with a top hat, a tuxedo, and his hand is on the shifter. The car is about 10-12 inches long. The box of the kit had a cemetery setting with a castle in the background and bats flying around with a full moon shining down. The car itself looks like a coffin where the skeleton sits. These are the names of some similar cars and models that IS NOT what I am looking for:
Undertaker-Carl Casper Lil Coffin Boothill Express-Mike McMahon Creepy T BUT its most like Bad Medicine.
IF YOU HAVE THIS MODEL OR KNOW SOMEONE WHO DOES, I AM WILLING TO PAY A GOOD PRICE!!
269 673 4425 or modelmanjoe@yahoo.com Joe.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME!!

Well, in all my model years I can definitely say that it wasn't a model kit from any of the known model companies at least that I've seen anyway. I have seen a toy several years ago that is exactly what you described but I doubt it was 10 to 12 inches long. I've never seen it personally, just some pictures and my best guess would have been that it was about 6 to 8 inches long. I can't remember much about it as far as details but who knows, maybe somebody around here knows something more. Sorry I couldn't be of more help but if there is something I haven't seen yet, I'd sure like to see it.
Oh, and if anyone has one of the toy ones like I just mentioned I'd be interested in buying or trading for that. Ever since I seen the pictures I've always wanted to get one but they seem to be very difficult to come by as well.

Been building for 45 years and in the hobby biz since 1980 and never heard of that one. Let us know if you ever find a picture.

The creepy T is the first one that came to my mind, but you say that is not it. The background sounds like the box cover of Elvira's car. Another car that came to my mind is the Vampire Van. Russell

Are you sure you didn't maybe dream this model? I've had some pretty convincing dreams... This sounds like a combination of several kits, but no one kit. I've built a ton of models in my life and this doesn't ring a single bell, it does ring several bits of other bells though... Was what you saw built up? Could it have been a kit-bash-Frankenstein?

I don't remember this kit either, But I do seem to remember a skeleton tipping a top hat! As for where.... Who knows?
Maybe it came from Fred's twisted collection???

I agree with gearbuster. Take a long look at the gallery you might find a kitbash build that you're thinking of. Then you could look at the 275 showrod kits but you won't find it there. As far as a Top hat.. Skulldude uses a Skeleton with tophat in all his eBay sales maybe you saw that..? BiLL..

i know exactly what you're talking about...although it is not a Model kit...i can't remember the name of it but a guy had one at the last Hot Wheels show i attended...it was made by a toy manufacturer like kenner or ideal...in the late 70's/early 80's. i sent my buddy an e-mail asking about it because he knows the name and manufacturer...as soon as i hear back from him i'll give you all the info you need on it...i can even get the one from the other guy for you if he still has it...i'm not sure but i'll do what i can....Mike

THANKS EVERYONE FOR YOUR REPLY, and no I did not make this up, my older brother had gotten it for christmas one year ALONG time ago, and i was just a little kid and i was OBSESSED with it, and i ended up breaking it, but i would say it was like at least 10 to 15 years ago, i have asked my family, they remember it to, but cant remember what the name of it is, and I KNOW FOR SURE, that it is a model, because he put it together. I will try to get a picture made up of what i remember it of, NOT THE EXACT thing. AND THE SKELETON CAME WITH THE MODEL, ITS NOT SEPARATE.

Well Joe, I'd definitely like to see what you are talking about because I've been collecting for almost that long and I'm sure I would have seen or heard of it whatever it is. Not saying I've seen everything but I've really dug in when collecting kits and there isn't much I've missed especially something like what you are mentioning. There were never very many kits that included skeletons and you mentioned them all except for the 2 PYro kits which are definitely not what you mentioned. Sounds interesting though, I'll be looking forward to seeing it if something can be found.

On the decal sheet of the kit it says: Street Sleeper. Sounds like the Reaper!!!

Love a good treasure hunt! Graveyard Duo didn't have a skeleton with a top hat, that I remember. It had a dude on the front that kind of looked like Eddie from Iron Maiden album covers. ;D ;D ;D

HEY!! Somebody knows "little Skulldude"!!! I made his head from a bead and the tophat is styrene. I mostly use him when "Skulldude" does a full Kustom to "personlize" the description/pics. Thanks for noticing!!

I remember some motorcylcles that kenner ( ?) put out in the late 1970s early 80's. They were called scare cycles , and used the evel knevil toy bike crank set up to make them work. There was a reaper driving a boot hill type hearse bike, and dracula riding a coffin bike and frankenstein riding a skeleton bike. The crank unit looked like a haunted house, and the box are had all the usual scary stuff on it. Maybe this is what you remember ? You may find them on Ebay, I beleive they are pretty rare.
