here's my revell anglia all finished. The steering is functional and all of the steering parts are held together with metal pins. All of the plastic pins broke when i was trying to assemble the steering. I wasn't able to make the steering wheel turn with the front wheels like it's supposed to because the steering column was way too short and too up & down. The driver woudl have had to lean way forward in his seat to reach the steering wheel. I made a new steering column out of a peice of old radio antenna. The steering wheel is fron a 1:32 scale 55 chevy. Other than the steering column, steering wheel, parachute, wheels and tires, I built this right out of the box. The doors don't fit perfect, but they do open. I wasn't able to get the trunk lid hinges to work, so the trunk lid is just sitting on there. it's funny tho, with all of the tiny parts and the functinal steering adding detail, there were no seat belts, and no parachute. I didn't add the skate key pushbar to the rear because i'm not sure if i want to put it on it or not. this was a tricky kit to build, and it's very fragile. Paint is nothing more than clear laquer over the orange plastic.

I really like it! ! ! !
What are you going to name it?
The love the fact you rebuilt the front end to get the steering to work. And the doors to open too! Imagine that as a 10 year old kid. . . . smash up against the wall!
Great build!

I would like to put decals on it ramone, but i don't have any. This isn't one of my better builds, it was just a build to get back into the mood of building. I built this one start to finish in about 3 days.

I was just getting ready to bust your balls about not painting it, but after reading your other reply about building to break a "builders block" then I perfectly understand. It's great to see these old challenging kits built.

Three days?! With all that extra detail building?! Did you sleep any? LOL!!! Looks great! ;D oh yeah...i slept plenty and i only worked on it a few hours a night over a 3 day period. the trick is superglue, and hot paint (it dries really fast when it's hot.) a year or 2 ago, it wasn't uncommon for me to knock out 4-5 builds a month with more details than this one, AND with super slick paint jobs. for a contest we had here a few years back, i built like 6 or 7 models over a month and a half period, and none of them were box stock.

Great job on a fiddly little kit! I wrecked one of these as a kid.. it never made it to the shelf. Those doors and hinges were not a good match for my enthusiasm and tube glue.
