Some time ago, a friend mailed me these pictures. A Japanese kit, judging by the hieroglyphs, looks very like something from the Mad Max Strip. Completely built, the model looks like this: The figures are also in the kit, as it looks. Which manufacturer makes or made this kit? What is the scale, on the bottom left on the box, is only: Mad Scale... Anyone of you knows something about it?

Have to see it next to something else to know the scale... Looks like there's a Mad Maxifed Firebird in there someplace too. How about a few more pictures, please? I think it's pretty cool looking, and a great build up, of course!

I just bought one of these off eBay. It's 1/25th, basically a late-model Firebird with 2 sprues of add-on weapon and armor pieces. There are provisions for motorizing it (battery holder, gears, but no motor). It's a curbside kit, and comes with two figures and a few weapons. I also have a sister kit, the Mad Police Destroyer, which appears to be some kind of Japanese sedan. It has one of the same add-on sprues as the Interceptor, and one different add-on sprue. They were made by Fujimi. Here's a page with a teeny bit of info: www.madmaxmovies.com/merchandise/Models/Vehicles/JapaneseKits/index.html

That is a way cool build. Nice weathering job. Max would have kicked some serious a** with that rig.

hobbybobby doesn't have one; he's unsure what's inside the box, remember? You guys.... But i agree that that built-up is pretty nice. From my test fittings, the front fender armor doesn't fit very well at all; but it looks good on that built-up.

Thanks for the comments guys, but I do not want to decorate me with foreign laurels! Rocketeer's right, I still have any of these kits! These images have mailed me a friend. I just wanted to know more about...
