The 'Stogie has moved farther down the trail, she's due down't at the 'Corner come the First-a-Apr'l... I didn't like the fact that, from the box, there's no visible way to possibly steer this front end design. While cool, it's Very 'toy-like' to say the least, and that will never do in my book. So I dreamed up a unique steering system that would be at once viable, but different, while still retaining the original design as well... And a set of front brakes too. Gave the wooden parts a light grain that's hard to see in the pictures, not sure what to do with the carrage bolt heads yet... Thinking a deep flat steel maybe. The "Six Shooter" is done and pretty much ready to go. It has carb linkage that will line up with other stuff directly to the gas pedel. The tranny has a lever that will do the same to the shifter. Fuel lines from pump to carbs in black. Plug wires in yellow with scratch made coil. The Corvair kit I snatched the engine from came with a clear cooling shroud that I'm keeping clear. Looks cool and it is a Show Rod after all! A little Bare Metal makes the pullies and trans pan pop. I think that's it for details... Yes, I know, there's something wrong with me. I had a minor misshap with the header and had to reglue it after it was done. Doh! The 'soft top' is pretty much done, need to make a serious decision on some colors/chrome and knick-knacks here and there... Gettin' mighty close, I kin smell the campfire! Oh, it's got a new name too, but we'll stick with 'Stogie' for now... Heck, I may even manage the OTHER project yet!

Here's a few shots of a couple things that will, for the most part, never be seen... But I'll know they're there, and now you will too! Finished, finishing the linkages from the gas pedal to the carbs. Brake pedal to the master cylinder (With brake lines) and the shifter to the transmission. Everything seen is painted as planned. Here's a nice, bringing up the rear view with finished brakes... Getting mighty close to that there deadline!

You've done some outstanding work on that engine and chassis.

One last look at a few things you'll really never see... Here's the top of the engine, now glued in place to stay. And here's the bottom of the, um, well I have to call it something, so I'll call it the 'body'... Soon the two parts will come together and all those little fiddly things will line up making for a completed package of whatnot that you'll have to work hard to see. You'll see nothing more on THIS project till 4-1-10...
