Been out of work for two days cleaning out my basement - Water started coming in from the floor (8ft underground )Monday night , the whole basemnt was flooded by 3 am Tues. When the water started coming in the basement windows I thought we were doomed , but we worked all through the day and night with 16 Gallon shop Vacs ,dragging water up the stairs. Nothing major destroyed, but its going to be a while before we get back to normal !

Get a life raft and hang on. That sucks Don, that kind of work makes a long day. We don't have basements down here. They would be year round swimming pools. Wish I was close by to help. I'll send dry vibes your way.

Thanks for the good words guys- At least its sunny now, and we only got 10 inches of rain compared to 16 in some areas. Odd thing is, we are up on a hill and no where near a river or stream ! Oh well it could always have been worse , we still have somewhere to live .

I can sympathize with you Don! We had flooding late last year and it's never really a treat to have to pump it out and then clean up the mess. My best in everything getting squared away quickly!
